You would've never survived DAoC, there were cloaking classes that would strike you from cloak and get your health down 3/4ths, course you could sort of sense them, if they stayed too close too long, but that rarely happened. They couldn't kill everyone, just certain classes, if you wanted to kill a warrior for instance you had to be super good.
When the average n00b did whine, you know what they were told? Other stealthers combat stealthers. So use them. SWGs problem with combat balance is it's not based on group combat but 1vs1. You will never win always 1vs1. (Unless you have some MCM and good armor.)
Surprisngly players did not whine about any of the classes in DAoC as much as everyone whines about every other profession in SWG. Even when Rangers were camping and one-two shotting people. (Which was imbalanced but was quickly fixed. Didn't take a load of whining to fixed, the devs played and knew their game plus had professional testers)
I think most of these people SWG is their first MMO and hopefully their last. Because you surely won't survive in another MMO where the Devs don't nerf everything just because some 12 year old dislikes it.
What is there to fear from a cloaker anyway? He can't even kill anyone. So why whine?
This post went on way longer than intended, but it just boggles me that Mythic, a development house that had only done an AOL online game before their MMO and had probably about a 16th of the monetary resources SoE does, paid for a team of professional testers, released tons of expansions, fixed TONS of stuff in every patch (Some came twice in a week) and never bugged the UI, never majorly bugged combat either.

Man, you're really not the sharpest crayon in the box are you.
Lemme guess, instead of staying indoors for hours playing a meaningless video game you have better things to do, like being outdoors and playing in traffic.
