Thread: MLS weapon of choice AND feedback requested on my Template

Greetings.
I have been playing around with the 3 saber types available to us and have one question....
Is there a difference, other than style and appearance, between the 3 saber types? I currently use a double blade saber,but I've used2h and 1h as well. I see nothing really different in the stats of the hilt, minor stat differences more likely done during assembly (I never get below amazing sucess on experimentation). I know my specials can be used regardless of weapon, though I am curious if anyone has actually tested whether 2h's armor break works "best" while equiping a 2h saber, if spin attack works "best" while holding double blade, etc. By "best" I mean the state effects have a higher chance of sticking, theattacks on average do more dmg... things like that. Unfortunately, even after going through 50+ crystals, my saber stats are pathetic and I don't trust much of the information I am getting during my small testing periods.
I don't think it matters, but I'd like clarification prior to dropping close to 200mil to get acc and spd tapes for LS of my choice.
As for mytemplate (when finished) -MLS, 0044 Defender, 4000 Healer, 3402 Enhancer.
Currently, I am only MLS, 0042 Defender, 4000 Healer, 1202 Enhancer.
I know the lack of a double mastery cuts my force low, but so far this template is really fun and is working well against the BH's I've run across. Thoughts? With the state our profession is in, and the relentless assault the BH's are bringing me, I'd rather do things right the first time, not waste months fighting through things to find out I need to start over.
I have seen many Jedi post with 4040 Defender over Improved Valor, but after speaking with many of my server's Jedi community and testing Valor as I currently have it (with and withoutblocking food), I am certain I'd rather have Improved Valor over additional Melee Def and Inate Armor.
EDIT: I do realize that my temp will more likely need to shift once the FRS is done, I'm more curious as to how you like my temp in current BH vs Jedi PvP.

as master sabers - choose either 1h or double as the ca's will be easier to come by - the saber type you wield make no diff to specials or damage

i have MLS,4440 defender,3002 enhancer,4000 heal..most bh's don't last 10 seconds with me...bh/cms takes me awhile but they still die...valor is great if your just fighting bh's..but realistically if your a finished template player..you should be out pvp'ing unless you don't like to pvp..then you still need the extra melee defense for pve since a lot of the high end mobs use melee rather than ranged like nightsisters and krayts etc....but..if i had to do it all over again i would get valor just for the added protection while i was grinding..then drop it when i'm finished....

Yes, only issue is if you ever want to change templates. I know on our server prices are coming down since the CAs have been more plentiful that if you think you might ever change down to 0404, get the 2handed ones.
2handed line is required for armor break these days.
