There is a Dev quote that says something similar to this:

"We are counting on the fact that most players will want to adapt their playing style to get their FSS."

I think there are two main organic ways the Devs are keeping this FSS rare:

1) The quote above.

2) Permadeath.

It makes a lot of sense, and now that we know the truth, we are learning that all these Dev quotes we've been refering to can possibly be false now. For me, I started as a Brawler, and I've gone from wanted to be a Teras Kasi/Droid Engineer, then Creature Handler, then Chef, the drop TKA and become a Master Carbineer with BH Carbine trees, I got Master Marksman with almost Master Scout, ect....I've gone everywhere, lol, but about 2 weeks ago, something was telling me to go back to my original starter profession, so now, I'm ALMOST a TKA Master, and ALMOST a Master Brawler...so, if the new Holocron theory is true, I could probably get the first step done rather quickly. I guess you could say I got it easy, and I would agree...

BUT even if I was Master Carbineer/Master Pistoleer and started as a brawler, I would drop everything and doanything to get my FSS, I just have that dedication. It's been my goal since beta, to be an awesome Roleplaying Jedi that fights the good fight...and, as I just said, I'll do anything I have to in this game to get it!

Basic Summary Of The Post

If you do not like the method to getting your FSS, then don't get it. It's that simple. If you want it as bad as some of us do, including myself, you'll do whatever it takes, including dropping every profession you have...

Face it, you have to master every profession in the game to open the FSCS. Lucas is out to make money and if you wanna be a Jedi, your gonnahave to pay for it. I mean look hes willing to contradict hiswhole storyline withpotentially allowing an all out war of thousands of Jedi during this timeperiod. He wants youtospend your entire life paying.....oops......I meanplaying this game. Its all about the profits boys and girls.

And, NOI'm not a grudge holding non-holocron recipient.I used my first holocron, and was told toMaster Brawler. Which ironically was mystarting profession. I strayed from it to become a Marksman andultimately a BH / Pistoleer. So, take it in stride you Jedi wannabe's, you've gotta be in it for the long haul.

Here is the truth as stated by the devs: we want to make jedis rare.

I'm sure they knew everyone and their brother would want to be a jedi. Just look at how many peole are reaching for it. You go to the crystal caves at 5am and the crystal caves have like 20 dark side guys. go there during prime time, and theres about 40 or more players there and the darkside wielders die in seconds. Also, look at how many people are afk playing in bars with full suits of armor on that don't look like the belong there (the dancing stormtrooper of Theed on Valcyn for example).

Personally I think they should have released an eppisode 1 or 2 timeframe for all the people who want to be jedi. As for the timeframe here, there are really only 1 and a 1/2 jedi (Yoda and Luke respectively).

I think it would be cool to allow player to become a force witch like the singing mountain clan and the nightsisters (force powers without lightsabers). Plus these are much more common force users in this timeframe. Remember there are more types of force users than just jedi and sith. Why can't we play them?
