I Templated my Jedi Post-CU, though I unlocked a bit before that. I'm not particularly into the elitist attitude one way or another, I'm a player your a player it's all the same to me. At least now we have an answer to the Pearls question: obtain a boatload of lower and medium quality ones and we can have Sabers like the Pre-CU ones.

The way I view it at least now I have a goal, and a means to achieve it. Hopefully when the FRS returns things can return to normalcy again, those Jedi who are ahead of the game on thier sabers will still be ahead of the game, and the newer ranks can make the same up.

I didn't get to the FRS Pre-CU so I honestly don't expect to be anywhere up it once it returns, I'll climb up the intended way through whichever mechanism is in place same as those who went before me and the same as those who will come after me,

Having said that I don't intend to be anyone's Baz Nitch either ;-) so until I have a competitive Lightsaber I will leave the FRS well alone until I do (assuming PvP is a big part of the new system), and I would urge any newJedi to do the same especially if there is some sort of Perma-Overt aspect involved as if that happens you will either be fodder for BHs or Ranking Jedi PvPers. Judging from a lot of Jedi feeling hard done by with substandard Sabers, you'll feel much worse getting ganked by opposing faction Jedi if it is at all the old system. Bide your time duel with friends and guildmates while you work on your Saber.

Back in the old days of solo grinding (Pre-CU) many many players stayed the hell away from the terminals to avoid having to face the BHers in an unready state, so too may it be here, but please remember we STILL have the potential to make ourselves the match of later Jedi.

Ok it might take me longer to get a competitive Saber, but I like many others did extremely well out of the extra XP weeks and respecs so it all evens out eventually.

I know people make the comparison too that "other" combat professions can get very tasty weaponry, but consider that Jedi combines the crafting of Lightsabers too, and Server best crafters have to go to great lengths to provide you with Server Best weapons and then Server Best Slicing so maybe if you add up the manhours that go into regular professions Elite Weapons it's not such a wide gap, just that us Jedi have to do it all ourselves.

Anyways I've gone on long enough lets just enjoy the game :-)
