Thread: Double exp actually felt about right...

I'm not looking forward to "regular" exp tomorrow. I have to say that the rate of progression with "double" exp feels about right to me. It is fun, not too much of a grind, and you feel like you've accomplished something when you finish playing. At 1/2 exp it's going to take forever to get going.

I can't imagine grinding Jedi at all with the XP we been getting slashed in half... I would think the xp we'll be getting now is a joke but knowing SOE and our pitiful developers I am wise enough to know they are serious.

I did a lot of grinding solo since the CU went in and I have to say I found it much slower than before, even with double XP. I was averaging just over 50k XP an hour - halve that and do some sums... means it'll take over 120 hours solid grinding to get a master box.

What im wondering is the +10 % for a creature 1 lvl over me and -10% for a creature 1 lvlunder me

Here is the xp I get with inspiration

lvl 79 = 1844xp

lvl 80 = 2026xp (my lvl)

lvl 81% 2050 xp

This was during double xp week, anybody see a problem with the math here?

The actual creature type seemed to affect the XP gain for me as well as the level - not sure if that might explain your figures. For example a quenker seems to give more XP than a bol, even if they're both level 80.

As you go up, you are going to hit a cap. so, level 81 and 82 creatures are going to give you 10% and 20% higher XP, BUT you will hit the cap for XP and will probably end up getting only and extra 3-4%.

Considering I was getting in the range of 20k XP per kill in a "normal" profession, yes, the double XP week on Jedi does feel right. At this point, I'm just barely able to keep up the BH losses if I'm in the wild if I'm lucky.
