I have to admit up front that I have not been a fan of the Jedi Community. I've been playing Galaxies for over 2 years and have watched many of my "friends" go through the Hologrind only to become jedi and turn away from their non-fs companions. I tried the hologrind, but didn't have the intestinal fortitude to finish it. Then came the Village...ah, perhaps a chance to cheat the old system and sneak into the ranks of Jedi without all of the work...WRONG!!! The village turned out to be just as difficult and time consuming as the holo-crap. So, I joined the ranks of those who would oppose the Jedi. I even became a Bounty Hunter, although I never took a Jedi Bounty. I resented youfor finishing something I never could, but I refused to cause you to lose any of the xp or abilities you had worked so hard for.
I've watched you flaunt around with your robes and lightsabers and I've found myself wishing that you would fall. I've imagined that the whole game was being revamped just to cater to your selfish whims and wishes. But, I have never wanted to see the Jedi grind or profession cheapened or diminished.
I don't know what profession I will pick after the NGE goes live, but I want you to know that I respect the hard work and time that it took for you to become a Jedi and I'm sorry that SOE has chosen to reward all of your efforts with a couple of cheap trinkets and a "thanks for not quitting" pat on the back.
You have my respect and, for what it's worth, I offer you my sincerest /salute
