Thread: A table to be turned

I have read alot of posts that complain about the pros and cons but there is possible a way to make the table more even on the forced PvP issue. we know that they will not take the PvP out, there are too many Bh'rs out there.

Now why don't the Dev's sit down and spend some of that time coming up with a Jedi Mission Terminal. The missons; not hard to work out there, "go after active BH'rs". That way you can remove the one sided Forced Pvp arguement, and like that saying the bh'rs use crap " they know its the risk when they choose that profession" Sorry all if you hunt people eventualy there is always someone bigger and better who will to return the favour. Plus it adds to a more neutral ground on the force Pvp.

Another option that will make it more neutral, if a Jedi is already in combat with a Npc or creature, make it that the Bh can't initiate the PvP until that combat is over. Make it somewhat on fair ground for Jedi, and stop the cheap crap that I have seen a few Bh'rs is to wait until jedi is well into combat and then start pounding, come on thats cheap no matter which way you fly it.

My 2 cents for what its worth.

Normally I don't reply but just a few things about your idea:

1. Thats dandy for new padawans but now they don't get visibility unless they want it. Just group and watch your surroundings.

2. If you are fully templated, even in combat with an npc or monster, run or fight win or lose, your not losing skills just exp which if your

fully templated you can withstand the little bit of exp you do lose. Thats the price for visibility. Mostly though you kill the bh that comes

for u anyway.

* No im not a bh nor have i been one. Yes im fully templated now but got it after cu. Yes i grinded before the group thing came into play.*

Not a rant nor a rave nor a flame just don't see it wrong for a bh to attack when a jedi is vulnerable. Don't agree with Jedi being their viable game play.

But I didn't make the rules SOE did.

Easy fix while you're waiting for the devs to work on that: You may or may not be aware of this, but when you become a Jedi, you also unlock an additional character on the same server for the express purpose of being able to play the game without being forced into PVP. No other players are allowed this opportunity--not even a bounty hunter. If you would rather not PVP, you can play with your additional character (sometimes referred to as an "alt") in much the same way you could with your character before becoming Jedi. Your "alt" can gain experience in combat professions and is unattackable by other players. If other non-Jedi templates are indeed more adept in combat than your Jedi--which judging from the nature of the rest of your whine about fairnessyou apparently believe exists--you can train your "alt" toward that profession and use that character to play the game instead. But you can't have it both ways.

Another option that will make it more neutral, if a Jedi is already in combat with a Npc or creature, make it that the Bh can't initiate the PvP until that combat is over. Easy fix while you're waiting for the devs to work on that: watch your radar. If you see any dots coming toward you, stop fighting until they go away. Problem solved. If they still manage to sneak up and wait for the right moment, it's cheap, but it does take skill and patience and it is fair. I don't know if you realize this or not, but Jedi can't be targeted unless they show up on the radar. If we can see you, chances are you can see us too (unless we manage to hide, but that's where the skill and patience comes in.) Sure we have cover, but it also takes 20 minutes to crawl 300-400 meters and it's breaks if pretty much anything is nearby including but not limited to our own seeker droids..

My 2 cents for what its worth.

Yes but the point was, you spend alot of time working with "that" character.. yes you can have an alt but its like using the same principle of well I made Jedi now so I'll just quit the game, which I'm sure people d. The idea behind it was to make it more interactive between BH and Jedi. Bh hunt jedi, Jedi hunt bh, the hunter becomes the hunted. It will give a new twist to the game.

No I am not a jedi, it was pointing out that there are alot of arguments out there that its not fair for Jedi to be forced PvP, it was creating a more nuetral ground of allowing the Jedi to return it, thus cause a neutral effect.

Not always that simple usless your one of those grinders who just let everyone else die cause your to busy looking elsewere..... Yes you could watch radar and many do it, I have been in a few groups that jedi have had to stop and move off the grind so that they can investigate who or what is coming, but it can lead to the expense of the group.

"Decide you must how to serve them best. If you leave now, help them you could. But you would destroy all for which they have fought and suffered."

Stuff like that is what seperates Jedi from Teras Kasi Experts with lightsabers.

They don't need to alter the PvP at all... to fix the BH issue, just reduce the amount of awesome loot the BH targets give out and most of them will drop MBH.

Yeah. That's what would happen. Except Jedi are worth up to 250k each, so they would become the "awesome loot."

The idea behind it is not to down grade the BH, cause no matter what skill set you have any form of down grading can dishearten most.

The idea would be to allow the Jedi a form of pay back if you will, and yes the rp behind a Jedi would not allow this but it definatly would for sith. It was an idea of allowing the all Jedis dark and light to turn the tables around, after all the whole Jedi idea in the film was the ultimate warrior in both mind and spirit. If that would be so how come they are hunted prey and yet have no way of being able to turn the tide around.

I'd be all for it if a MBH could unlock an alt too.

My understanding if i'm right was that the idea of the Alt was to give players to be able to play on the same server and not look over his shoulder 24/7. With the invent of allowing Jedi to hunt bh in the same situation, the point of having an alt would be removed no?

I am not old to the game like alot of posters that were here at the start so only speaking from what I see now.
