Thread: Did some experimenting on robes....Ditch them and get some nice BE clothes.

Regen rates are borked...there's a shocker....went to kash on the lowest level of ryatt trails and fought two level 82 fighters. results were better with defense mod BE clothes than with the extra 250 force with robes. regen for force was exactly the same so no benifit there at all. I picked up some clothes that put me over 300 ranged and melee defense, plus used some boots with accuracy mods in them. Did much better than robes alone, didnt miss the extra 250 force.

Its long known robe regen is bugged and will be fixed in p24

yeah, read the patch notes ofr the new publish, they r fixing regen

Also remember, BE clothes will adjust your defense stats... but they don't work. We did a lot of test with these, and took the same damage with and without the BE clothes.

10credits force channel will be broken instead
Devs will say "Its either channel or regen on robes.."

My robe causes -5 force every 20 seconds. But with BE clothes not really working, robe regen rate broken, I still wear my robe the majority of the time just for the extra force.

anyone who gets BE clothing should stop pvping and start relying on their own skill rather then the SEAs they think are actually helping..

BAH! who uses robes besides low level paddy's for the extra force. I haven't worn a robe since i was 0404 sabers with no other jedi boxes.
BE clothes are way better in my oppinion, even if some of the CAs aren't benefiting us right now....they soon will hopefully....but one or two non-useful CA's isn't enough to disregard all the other CA's that do benefit us. IF you have no force run for instance, no jedi robe or force pool is gonna help you climb that hill any faster. Some +25 TN clothes will do the trick. It all depends on how much CA's you have or need. If you only need a few and can get them in the +25 amounts that only take up one slot....you can wear both your robes and a few pieces of BE clothing. So it's really a matter of what you need rather than what works and don't work. For me, I have absolutely no use for a robe unless it gave some other kind of bonuses. If they had sockets, then having my robe on would serve as a bonuse, but it still don't help my look. I'd rather have a different look than to have the same robe on that 500 other people wear.

Somehow I doubt they will fix it in Pub 24, although we will read notes on it being fixed.

may wanna wait since they are talking about fixing that mod....
also, there is talk of robes having some new stuff come expansion.....
