Any profession that has innate armor should also have innate Armor Break protection. That applies to Jedi and TKM, though Jedi moreso than TKs. Why?

A teras kasi artist has the OPTION of picking up a second profession and aquiring armor certifications which then allow him to wear ab-sliced armor and still have access to all teras kasi specials. A Jedi does not have this option because armor restricts the use of any Jedi abilities, period.

It is absolutely unbalancing to have Jedi completely without any armorbreak protection, and giving it to them would not have any affect upon BH/Jedi fights as BH do not possess an Armor Break anyways. Adding in the AB reduction for Jedi and TKM would affect PvE and Jedi v. Melee encounters.

Consider a Jedi versus a Swordsman/TKM/Doc4000 or similar template. The swordsman has superior healing, roughly equal damage, improved CoB which is identical defense-wise to Improved Aura, and for the coup-de-grace has 75% Armor Break mitigation while the Jedi has none. This is completely unbalanced and well worth a fix.

we dont need balance we need un-balance. If it wasnt for the fact that jedi is suposed to be a pvp only profession you wouldnt see posts like this any more.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.
