Hey all,
Now im sure that i recently read somewhere that wearing your robes around other players/NPC's gave you vis, is this true or untrue as i cant really remember whether i dreamt it or actually read it

Unless they stealth nerfed it, No they do not cause vis just by you wearing them. Only equipping them will generate vis. So find a phone booth 32M away from any npc's before you change

Untrue - taking them on and off does not cause visibility.
tested and approved by the Jedi Council.
perhaps your confusing it with the lightsaber - which is the only thing a Jedi can do that does not cause force to be used, but still cause visibility.

Thanx man you hit the nail on the head there........ now i remember.....its the equipping that does it
(wish i hadnt eqquiped them in the middle of Dant MO about 20 mins ago)

Ah never tested that myself cause I never wear them. I just remembered reading threads from back before the CU when it was stated that equipping them caused vis but unequipping did not.
To be on the safe side I would change into them well away from any npc's )

Ok i think we can say that wearing them doesnt give vis...equipping is debateable.......now whats with this lighsaber vis stuff ??? are you say having a saber equipped gives you vis or just equipping the saber in public does ?

Equipping it is what I've always been told. THough frankly having a saber equipped at the Starport in Lok WILL cause visibility. How you ask? Because sooner or later some n00b will train a guard or something else into the starport and it will area atack everyone causing you to ignite the LS in defense
Oh yea and you bike is now toast.

Hmmmm points taken ...... from now on ill be careful equipping ANYTHING.....and is funny that you mentioed SP on LOK because that exact thing happened to me the other day

Happened to me quite a bit. And now I make sure I unequip my saber before I get there and anyone leaving a bike lying around there is a fool.
