Hi all,

Thought that with all the nerfs, pearl-crying, lack of FRS etc etcetc, it might be fun to postyour stories about Bounty Hunter Encounters here. I have seen a lot ofloneposts about 'My Funny BH Story' etc. Why not just save forum space eh?(Leave more room for the whinersto post ) The posts can be stories of accounts which made you laugh, cry, go red, or just stare in disbelief.

I may as well start offif this thread is actually going to last more than 10 seconds and not get pushed downby133t-Duud-Jeda1-Mastree posting about his crappylightsaber stats. As of yet however I haven't actually been visited by a Bounty Hunter (although now I have jinxed myself I'll log in to find six of them cracking their knuckles, I'm sure) However, I'll start off by posting a couple of stories that made me chuckle.

The First Story

I was in an AoE group with a few of my friends (I wasn't quite a Jedi yet) and we had just arrived at a lair. My mates were meditating/transfering/channeling force etc etc when one of my mates shouted out that he had a BH and ran to a nearby safehouse he had. We all followed and my mate eventually got inside, with the Bounty Hunter outside, however I guess the BH had got a shot off (in the days before the house entering restriction TEF thingy) as he was shooting my friend from outside (odd I know, maybe I just misunderstood what was going on :smileytongue. He could only hit every so often but basically my mate needed rescuing. I examined this BH and his bio said 'Mastered the Mis-Tell Profession.' I thought, 'Alrighty then' and started sending him tells. I said to him something along the lines of 'Mate I am a Master Bounty Hunter too, look at the badge in my bio (as i had respeced to it in the respec frenzy). I have a killer Jedi gun, come over here and get it, you'll get him hard.' Eventually after a few tells such as 'I have a good weapon' etc, this guy came over to me, a considereable way away from the house.

Him: 'Well, can I have it?'

Me: '.... have what?' By this time my mate had cloaked, got out of the house, equipped his rifle (as he wasn't far into jedi yet andrelyied upon his normal profs) and then started shooting at this BH who started running. Eventually my mate killed him (with his rifle) and thanked me for my help. the guy afterwards sent me a few tells along the lines of 'You lied to me!' Of course I just laughed at how he had written in his bio, 'Mastered the Mis-Tell Profession.'

The Second Story

Quick one this: I was in a different group grinding (still not Jedi by this time) when I noticed something on the radar by a house. It soon disappeared though, obviously covering up. I shouted out that a possible BH had just covered up near out lair. I then got on my speeder and went over to where the guy was hiding, uncovering him as he lay prone on the ground. Of course there were about 5 aggro critters next to him and they soon attacked the BH. I sped off back to the lair and watched on my overhead as the little blue triangle was chased of screen by five little red ones

Ok, feel free to post what you want about any stories you may have had. Please no flaming, and it would be nice if this thread could be a place where we Jedi can swap stories and tips etc, and not get bumped down by the endless 'TIGGS NEEDS TO GIVE ME FLAWLE55 PE4L5 OR ELSE' type posts, as mature as they are. Perhaps too much to ask

My favorite was:

While soloing Nightsisters on Dathomir I recieve notice fomr my contact of a hit they wish to place on a partciluar mark. The contact has developed a solid reputation and his intelligence on the matter is trusted. While recieving updates regarding said mark I avoid stating if I'm taking the job or not.

The Mark is located on Lok and has been spoted near Mount Chalort. The reports also list an exceptional number of expired Gurks in the general vcinity of the said criminal. Intelligence reports also advise said criminal is "special forces" for the Empire's elite.

A visit to the local rebel outpost provides necesarry data revealing status of Imperial operatives and abillity to dispatch them at will. A registration process is established to prevent friendly fire from possible Rebels in the last known area of the criminal.

Upon shuttling to a nearby port the Rodian, that's me, prepares necesarry procedures to secure zone and dispatch any possible hostilities. Further contact with the Boss establishes "...the mark is not going anywhere anytime soon."

As I approach the last known wher abouts of the villian I ensure all procedures have been taken and make way up the side of the acid pit known as Mount Chalot. Upon my accent I notice a familar sight of an Av-21...it's the marks! *Boom!! Not anymore...

Fearing my position was compromised I continue with haste. My boss appears, he's within range of the mark...who's still clueless he's being engaged.

*Bwzzzzzzz! Slash! Zap! Smack! Bzzzzzt! Bzzzt! thud....

The mark never knows what hits him. Later a local overhears a conversion at a cantina near a local clonning facility where an indivual claims to have been jumped by 5 Bountyhunters, all Rodian, and was able to fend them all off except one who was down to their last leg when a Gurk falls on him. Some storie....hmph!

(Was hired to take out Imperial Jedi. I had to go overt and set my self up for a possible ambush. Better then any BH mission I've ever done in the past and it was the most fun I could possibly imagine from a Player Bounty syste.)
