Thread: Pre-CU Sabers Not a nerf Call...My Response to all the Nerf Calls.

First off this is more directed at the Post-CU jedi whining about Pre-CU sabers.
I am a Post-CU jedi, yet my saber is beginning to creep up towards the stats of a Pre-CU saber. Will it ever be there? Probably not unless Premiums are brought back, but I'm making due with what I've got. It really isn't that hard, actually it is more like what the older jedi went through w/ premiums.
I farm Qaulity crystals using my alt, and maybe 1 in every 20ish tunes to near perfect...100+ -7 to -9 FC..., and so far my saber is creeping up to the 700 damage mark. Do I use it much? No not really being a Powers jedi, but it's still nice.
Honestly, the attitude around here seems to be that it took you 14 days to grind your jedi so therefore you should have a perfect saber in 7, and if you can't get it you screem nerf the others. DO SOME WORK FOR A CHANGE! I watched my bro grind out Pre-CU, and I would've done it to, but my last phase came right after CU. He ground for maybe 2 months give or take, it took me maybe 2-3 weeks not using double exp. I tanked for him for weeks on end to help him get the pearls that are in his saber, and all I got out of it was one Premium which is nessled in my saber at 119/119 -9, but I never really planned much on jedi until after I saw him play and after he let me play.
Everything isn't just handed to you you've gotta work towards it so just cause you had the grind easy doesnt mean you're gonna get your saber easy.

yeah this is very true, you can get a good saber so people should stop whining about pre-cu sabers.
on the topic of sabers and pearls, if only i'd known about pearls pre-cu i would have spent less time trying to finish jedi and get some nice pearls

Don't tell other people they aren't trying when you don't know anything. I've tuned over 100 pearls/crystals in total (a few premiums some quality and the rest good) and have yet to get one over 100 damage or one with -9 FC. In all honesty, you can't come on here and generalize every jedi when you don't even know them. That just makes you look like a child, just like all those other post-cu jedi who are whining. I am wanting premiums back for the sole purpose of having the same opportunity that the pre-cu jedi had. I've played since launch, just about how long they have been playing. I grinded Holo's and I grinded FS. For me to not have the same opportunity as the pre-cu jedi is very unfair. If I'd have unlocked pre-cu i would have grinded just as they did. That is why i hate pre-cu jedi whining about how we don't have any problems or anything or that we don't deserve it cause we didn't grind what they did. First of all, they could solo things and actually do crazy damage. Everyone has had it easy one way or another. I just want the same opportunities to get a perfect saber. My saber is currently 560 damage with -22 FC. One day, I hope to be able to have a 600 damage saber or a 700 damage saber with -10 FC or below like the rest of them.

Force Cost doesnt mean much in the new system...I run with a 17 FC saber for sparring, and its fine...only use my -9 on teh jedi haxXers

I'm not lumping all of them, but this is simply my resonse to all the nerf em threads that have been popping up lately.
Yeah FC don't matter much but to most people a good tune is in the range I said. Between using Powers and swinging saber I hardly notice the saber FC since powers is so high.

Wow Jon... If you relly played since launch then you DID have the same opportunities as the pre-cu jedi as far as getting a bunch of quality-flawless pearls. I know I did.
I started playing just last november on this server I played for about 6 months before that around launch on valcyn server. I didn't start MY jedi till phase 4 that hit jsut after the CU & I was loaded down with 80 pearls which from talking to a lot of pre-cu jedi is more than most of them started with
I took my opportunities while I had them I only have a 471 DPS LS but I'm not on here whining about it I still own people with 700+ DPS Sabers with my skills granted I wouldn't mind the extra damage but owning people with a less powerfull LS jsut makes it more of an accompleshment & doing things like soloing necro with my saber stats, taking on 2 kryats at once without having more than 0040 defender.
Half the fun of this game is using what you have & trying to out-do the next guy weather his equipment is better or not.
You & people like you need to spend more time learning how to use thier template & learning how to beat other templates (yes EVERY template has a weakness that can be used to your advantage) & less time whining & flaming others on the forums.

im ahazi server, i m post cu , so hate me.
i hate to generalize, but i live by mos oasis, and i RARELY seee anybody besides my 1 guildie friend ever, hunting krayts.
i do what i call a whiner drive every now and then, i drive thru mos oasis , because on some days it has 100 s of krayts that are overflowing from the graveyard i guess, because nobody is hunting them.
so atleast for ahazi, pretty much nobody is hunting, they are just whining. and the one hunting"rare" are the entrepenuers selling them to lazy nonhunting jedi on the trade forums for millions.
your not gonna get a pearl with every krayt.
your not gonna get a good tune with every pearl.
it took me about 6 months of everyday hunting, tuning, to get the four pearls i use now.
my house is full of premium tuned pearls that simply tuned to garbage just like they do now.
the higher the level the krayt you kill, if you get a pearl, the better chance it will tune good. thats it.
the channce to tune good pre cu and post cu looks to me to be about the same.
the only difference is i dont see anybody hunting krayts, so much so that mos oasis on ahazi"a town near the graveyard" is down right dagerous sometimes with 100s of krayts laying around in it.
pre cu used to organzize krayt groups, and hunt for the entire day on the weekends, starting at server reset to til the next morning, i never see this.
so basically what we have is post cu jedi that ground to full temp using all the methods, double exp, quad exp, respec xploit after respec exploit after final respec exploit after final final respec exploit, afk grinding on planets that bh could not hunt, and somwehere at about an average of 2 weeks, poof full template jedi. WOW, what a deal.
took me a year, ibh s used to do this, 1 bh get your mission by name, invite 19 friends, for 20 group total, go kill jedi. jedi lose almost 1 million exp. took me a year to grind fulltemp. be glad for the bone you got.
no you havent been screwed on the pearls, you just havent put the time in hunting to get them, thats it
i see the devs let you have an enormous amount of leewae on the grind, but looks like your going to have to work for the pearls like jedi always have.
and i do see for the ones that are putting forth the effort into huntin, a great improvement in sabers, and they are getting better, closing in on the 700 damage mark. which is a good pre cu saber, 700 damage.
well happy hunying krayt hunting, and i wish you good luck with it.
also, there are no krayts here on the jedi forums, so the longer you spend here whining about pearls, the longer you still wont have any.<this is for anybody that thinks the forums are going to magically put a pearl in your pocket.

I never said i couldn't beat pre-cu jedi who have the "perfect sabers" i do. I would just love to have the extra damage and the better FC.
Second, I don't have the same opportunities now. The point is, they didn't say "good pearls are gonna leave when they CU comes, get them now". Not that I'd expect them to. So no, I don't think i have the same opportunities. Thanks for trying.

For everything exept nobody hunting kryats I've been having hunting groups hitting NS & SMC on Dath for the past couple weeks, & hunting around mos Star. But then I have a goal in mind I'm not trying to get Pearls for myself even though I could use them I'm trying to get all the newer jedi in my guild up to at least 400 MOD DPS or 600 max DMG whichever comes first.
