Thread: Are all jedi ideas discussed here now considered SOE intellectual property?

As the title suggests are all ideas posted on the SOE SWG forums now SOE intellectual property? What an awsome way to collect ideas and lock them away from other games being developedeh? Are our great jedi ideas now locked out of other jedi games in the future unless SOE is paid royalties?

How can you say you've lived life if you've never danced?
Well I do remember Han having a one piece suit made out of carbonite but it weighed a ton. Still it didnt require any ironing and was very wear resistant.

Jedi should have wings and fly around to avoid BHs, where they hit you with Spraysticks!!!! Lock that one away tbh!

Thanks X-Ray2. I thought so just thought I'd remind folks why there are still forums running. This could be the idea behind the CU was to force folks to give out their ideas to SOE. Noone was doing much of this before the CU hit the fan as it were.

Well the only reason why they give us forums is so they can take ideas. Come now, everyone knows SOE isn't going to give something for nothing. But, if you want better games in the future then you might want to play along.

I hear things like that Japan has pre CU game servers running for their use. Think after a bit SOE is going to CU them and try getting them to post their ideas on a forum as well?


Well then I'll just hafta keep ideas to myself and just talk fun topics then which I mostly try for like this threed. Or make sure I write down in my personnal web blog my ideas before I post here to timestamp them, not that I'm encouraged t do so after what I just learned.

you could post song lyrics to this forum and sony would not own them... they would still be copyrighted to the proper owner.... not everything you write on these forums belongs to sony. if you create an idea, you are protected by copyright law the instant you create it.
