Hi there, I have only recently started posting on the forums and have found the content to be very useful however as I am new to the post messaging system please hear me out and leave feedback. I unlocked my Jedi approximately 2 weeks ago and have been grinding non-stop ! I tried to prepare myself as much as possible before hand and went to the effort of buying tapes and creating a +25 Lightsaber exp Suit. As well as this I collected 37 white/clear power crystals and 16 Krayt pearls. As I am a post-CU Jedi none of these pearls are crystals are premium/flawless. I have now managed to achieve 0132 in my saber skill box however it is the saber that is letting me down. Is it right that a Jedi (taking into consideration the months of grinding and back breaking work) at that level can only wield a saber of 212dps with a 26fc at very post after trying various mixes with the crystals and experimenting with the saber...... I do find it very unfair that a master Bounty hunter that can be achieved in just a little over a week (which I did before I was Jedi and I still hold my master BH skill at the time of writing) can kill my character in approximately 20 seconds. This was a friendly duel with a guild mate and not a mission thankfully, I have managed to avoid the terminals so far. My 212dps saber was crafted using the best of resources and I used the best from all of my pearls in terms of Damage and force cost. I would greatly appreciate if any experienced Jedi who have been in my position could comment on this and perhaps leave a post. Maybe one day Devs. might bring back the old combat system or something similar. It does seem that is what the majority would like after reading through the BH and Jedi posts I have read so far. I have noticed that there are still a few premium pearls available to purchase on the forums however I do not believe it is right that all new jedi should have to pay over 15 million to get a half decent pearl that still may not tune that great. I have read Tiggs post and from what I understand, Similar tunes should be achieved from "Good" pearls and crystals but are just less common. Well folks, I have tuned 37 power crystals and 16 Krayts pearls and have been rewarded at best with a crystal that has 85 damage and -7 force cost. I have made more of an effort to go out and hunt Pearls but from the last 29 consecutive Krayts I have helped killed with my master BH/Master CM (before Jedi Noob) not one of us received a pearl from any of them! That is without a word of lie. I am on the Chimaera server just in case anyone else has had similar problems or wishes to comment on this. Will the Pearl/Crystal loot ever be changed ...... Will I ever be able to loot a crystal worth placing inside my Saber chamber...... My personal views on this are this the pearl/crystal loot thing..(bug they call it).... is just a cover up to cut down the Jedi population and that currently there are no plans on changing it at all. This is trully a veteran reward for Pre-CU jedi, having Uber sabers that can beat all post-CU sabers hands-down. I also got the impression from reading Tiggs' comment on the pearl/crystal loot from the top end, high level Imperial bases to be very misleading. Where she states that this bug will be sorted (on the to do list) it seems that the only bug that was to be sorted was stopping the imperial soldiers from dropping any pearls. I am only commenting on this as I experienced this first hand. My guild and I were attempting to take out an imperial base (mostly Cl84-88 inside). Over the few hours we were there, altogether 11 pearls were looted. Later that night my server was taken down for a bug fix while ALL others remained online. Naturally we went back to the base the next day (having not been able to destroy it) and looted no pearls at all..... I wonder why our server was suddenly taken down for a fix.. (alarm bells are ringing). I may be wrong in all of my comments however I would greatly appreciate any feedback on this subject in the hope of SOE reading this thread and understanding how much of a disadvantage todays Jedi are at.
