It was said by many that the Combat Upgrade (Combat Downgrade) was pushed to make SWG more like Everquest 2 so they could use the same teams to develope both and use the same ideas to patch and expand both. Many people left because they didnt want to see SWG turned into EQ2, but still many held out hoping that they would have enough consern for the game not to make it a carbon copy of another SOE game that wasnt doing so well anyway.

Well all hopes for originaliy are out the window. SWG is not given its own slot in the gaming world, it will never be original again as it was pre-CU.

If you think otherwise, then just look at the coming expansion for SWG with all the lava terrain and compair it to Everquest II "Lavastorm" patch.

While our game, SWG gets less and less attention and more and more lag and bugs, EQ2 gets the developement and we get the scraps.

But PVE pre CU was so much more fun... now it's dull imo.

PvE pre-cu was like this, i was being hit by 5 rancors... suddenly i want to drink some water so i go to the kitchen get some then to the bathroom and Wow! there was i... alive, i can't believe how fun it was, i miss it so much... NOT

Not to mention the really, really fun fights with krayts that could last 30 min or more

If you were a jedi or a tkm pre CU, then yeah, maybe. Other professions, not really.
