What was your favourite publish and why? ... what profession were you ... positive remeniscences only please


I think publish 8 was a ripper ... credit duping was practically over ... everyone had either got well into the holo grind or found a profession they liked and stuck with it ... Jedi werenot so rare as to be unattainable -yet well hidden - and a knight could take out an entire room with a single sweep of his 2 handed sabre ... what do you remember as your favourite publish?


Oh and I was the only armoursmith at DMO on eclipse

I guess 8/9... don't particularly remember much about it but it was when I started. Spent all the time running missions from the factional terminal in your Alliance City Chewen, running into binayre pirates who kicked my novice artisan marksman butt. Didn't leave Talus for a long time, but I remember how much fun it was. I can't say that any publishes since that time I can remember them for having fun. And yeah, Jedi were rare. I remember asking Dave about jedi, and he said "yes, we have one in the city." He wouldn't tell me who it was, but I remember thinking how cool that was. Memories...

pub 7: imperial crackdown



i loved it because it was before i knew that every non-title empty profile toon in full comp was a jedi, i loved the imperial side. Stormtroopers were so cool...i believe i was reb at the time for a guild i was in but i immediatley detagged and went imp because i got fined for a sliced FWG-5 i had, i dont even know why i went reb in the first place

god there been so many, i just wish they would fix the problems before they have anymore expansions...

yea i lik eimperial crackdown when it first released. Only because it had a broken spawn so i capped on faction in an hour because there were about 100 storm troopers spawning at once and i could strafe shot them all.

i am post pub 9 pre pub 10 and enjoyed the game much better because I could do what I needed by myself. The solo style players are pretty much a thing of the past now.

I dunno if this counts but I'll say Day 1 - or I guess publish 1 Bugs and all!!


Everything was fresh and exciting. People were to interested in learning the game to be rude to each other.


Nobody was uber, no one had credits.... and we had to run to our corpse to retrieve our items.


It really was an awsome time!

Publish 6


  • PvP Death Penalty reduction: Faction deaths will no longer suffer 1% decay if items are insured after the player's death.

  • The Geo Labs! (6.4 actually)

  • Imperial Crackdown (ie. easy faction farming for Rebel lol)

  • Chef Revamp.. omg food that regens mind, lasts 45 minutes, and you can stack (I was a rifleman)

  • New Theme Park loot

  • Only declared players may participate in GCW base shutdowns, and only after they have been declared for 5 minutes.

    • This was the best publish IMO... PVP was great after this, base defense & raids ment something, and there was a bunch of cool new loot in the game.
