Hi all, I have a few questions for the hated... you know who I mean, the Jedi who duel daily, know their skills and are confident enough to take anyone on and probably win (I say hated because PvP Jedis seem to be skoffed at and scorned as a norm these days). If you don't PvP much or hate PvP in general, please ignore this thread and move on, I would like solid answers from people that use this stuff not theories or guesses. No offense.

My stats: MLS - 4000 heal - 3404 Enh - 2040 Def
Saber: Not great but decent

Question 1>> Sap Users
In my build I have 2040 defender but I'm thinking about dropping it for xx2x in healer for the smaller Sap. Do you think this is a viable skill to keep someone who has depleted their action down a bit longer or do you find that the xx2x Sap is worhless?

Also when are you applying Sap? I picture fighting someone until I see them struggling on action, using Sap and then Kd followed by the usual damage combos... would it be better to KD first and then Sap?

Question 2>> Combat Spam
I've found that in the constant back and forth damage I alternate between head and leghit constantly before the timed KD and other goodies... what move do you use the most as a constant? I've heard dervish on several accounts but is this reasonable?

Last Question>> Low Action KD Followup
I am not blessed with a Godly Saber so many times Head hit/Body hit/Leg hit isn't an automatic win for me on a KD opponent (all assuming that AB is applied). To do considerable damage I'm having to KD, Power attack, Head, Body, Leg and hope it's enough as a finisher. Alot of times this takes them to about 10% life for my low end saber. In your honest opinion what should I follow that with? Another power attack? Cycle head, body, leg again? Or should I be doing something else?

Thanks in advance, I have been getting better and more confident in duels and bh encounters just off of strategy alone so I am hoping your answers will give me something to try that may put me over a bit more.

In response to this last question, try using the power attack before KD (As you say, assuming AB is applied), then following with your head/leghit combo's afterwards..

Yes you will do less dmg with the Power Attack than when your opponent is KD, but with the warmup timer applied to it you opponent would normally be standing after KD by the time you come to following up with headhits and so on.. Therefore by putting power attack first, KD, then following with 2 or more head/leghits by time opponent is standing (or incapped) you can get a bigger footprint of damage across..

To make that more effective for the incap - save the power attack, KD etc til your opponent is at least 50% health - and if an they are aura user wait til u see their aura buff icon flashing and KD, it cant be applied while KD

Try it for yourself anyway - each to their own

Ah if you are going to get sap go all the way. Sap 1 is weak.

Sap is really good for the bhes that can last a long time, the mcm mainly, so if you have a hard time with them I would recomend picking up 4020healer and keeping 0040 defender. Sap really isn't going to do a lot for you in "real" PvP, and by real PvP I mean group PvP. But when you think about it neither is little bit of defense you pick up from 2xxx defender. As long as your aura is running you're not gonna notice a difference between 2040 and 0040 defender...

First change your temp to MLS 4040heal 3402enh 0040 def...you dont need meditate...the other thing is you need good foods/drugs...food plays a key part in PVP. I use bofa treat, blop candy, spiced tea (all 180+) pikatta pie, booster blue. That is the base foods i use...this leaves 93% open for ruby bliels and allows 2 syntha steak/nutracake/mushroom pie to be consumed as needed.

Now for strategy....Save your KD. I wait (just spam leg hit/body hit) till the otherguy spams all his special and has less then 10% action then its AB, KD, power hit, head hit, leg hit -----FTW. Even with a not so awsome sabre, if your oppenent is KD and AB it will hit very hard. But make sure you keep sap on him at all times and be able to out heal his dps till he runs outa action (have lots of ruby bliels + Stims).

and for dervish...great for spin groups crappy for PVP...uses to much action/force for a hit thats subpar to head/body/leg hit. Not to mention causing agro from near by mobs. Spamming leg hit and head hit to me is enough. Some players like to triple spam...head+leg+body....to me i found my dps is bout the same with 2 specials vice 3.

Now my last tip....These ideas work great for some peeps but may not work for you. The best way is to PVP with friends and try out everything and see what works for you. And some strategies that may work on 1 friend may not work on another so try to duel as many peeps and learn to adapt.

GL and happy hunting.....
