Thread: Jedi should have the ability to reflect shots back to the target

It would seem to me, to be an oversight that this isnt in game.

I would like to see a "reflect damage" modifier added to the following trees, novice LS, LS Tech tree, MLS, novice defender, prenatural defence and Mdef. So as not to make this ability overpowered i would see +3% added to each tree and novice, with +10% added to each Master Box.

This would give a maximum of +50% for those who have MLS and MDef. This figure would represent the percentage chance of a shot being reflected when blocked.

EG

A jedi, who is Mdef and MLS has a LS Block of 45 (with valor activated). With the "reflect damage" modifier 50% of the shots (LS) blocked would be reflected back to the target. So in practice only 22.5% of the shots fired would be reflected.

Obviously this figure would be less for those without the double mastery.

ROFL Imagine the screams the 1st time a BH set up his SL asisted, accuracy stacked, expolited weapon 600000 damage one-shot kill to end up eating it himself

Really, if this was to be put in game, I'd rather see it in Enhancer. MLS & MDef are the most popular trees as is, they don't need more love, just fewer nerfs. As for needing a saber to block a shot, I think Vader did well enough with his hand when he deflected Solo's shots in Ep 5.

watch the movies (not really relevant to the game, but). it's always the saber that deflects the blasts. the only time we see anythign else is when vader uses his hand armor to absorb han's shots. at least kotor got this right.

Thats a bit extreme, but BH's can already reflect damage with duelist stance....at the very LEAST, an MLS should be able to duplicate this effect.

Nice idea wouldnt have to do full damage could just be a percentage of the original shot.

YES YES YES YES

Now I had heard somewhere in the posts recently that the dev's were actualling working on Jedi and that they were going to make it more star warsy. I hope they dont forget about the jedi constantly reflecting damage back at targets.

**AND why the heck can BH's do that?

Battle is like Life, no shortcuts to sucess. Some times a new path appears where none was visible before. In this respect, such things as a secret to fighting may not exist at all.

hate to bust your bubble but there was a prettty big comosion about this when it first came out... as usual the devs ignored the fact that it is ridiculous for bh to have reflect damage and jedi not too..but this is just one of the things on a very long list that have made this game what is is today..

Reflecting shots is actually a wicked good idea. It's in every other star wars game, and it's pretty neat to watch. It'd be sick to see a HLR round bounce back

Duelist stance only "reflects" a set amount of damage (25points), however. It'd make sense for them to fix that as well to a percentage.

Duh, don't you watch the movies?! The only people we ever see reflecting damage in the movies is Bounty Hunters and Master Brawlers, that's why they have the skill and jeid don't.
