Thread: Master Powers A simple fix to make it 'Viable'

I feel that Mpowers is a great, fun and potentially avery effective Set of skills, but of course at the moment we can't be considered 'Viable' for PvP (one on one) or PVE without lightsaber skills. I have been thinking of a simple, yet effective way to help the cause.
I came up with this, seeing that Mpowers is unlikley to get a damage boost (maybe until FRS like pre-CU?), I think that as a ranged proffession much like pistoleer we should have to ability to effectively do what all our other Ranged Counterparts can. KITE with our full ablities. By this I mean no Self-rooting zip bars rendering our most damaging attack useless unless our opponent is rooted and not to mention how it never fires in even the slightest lagg. This simple fix will greatly increase my enjoyment and I feel other Force Wielder's enjoyment of our proffession greatly not to mention having a good chance in PvP and PvE. This will also create many new template options, effective template options at that.
I am looking for some feedback, Positive and Negative, from not only fellow Force Wielders, but everyone. As of yet I have yet to see any negatives with this change and would have thought is easy enough to implement? Would it bother you? How would this change make you feel?
I am hoping to get Bac to read this and give his opinion, I know this subject has been touched upon before but I would like to focus it a little more.

i agree... simple well put.... not asking for to much at all..
thats one thing i always wish when i'm using force lightining... we have no damage enhancing items like sabers and only 2 higly damaging attacks, let us kite with lightinging..

Well, Tiggs actually did say that she would pass this along to the development team in a previous post not more than 10 days old. Look it up if you wish.

Oh lol, I try to keep myself up to date with the dev tracker, but I seemed to have failed. Would still like to hear everyones' views and opinion though.

kinda funny since everyone wants to go powers now because they realize they arnt gonna bring premiums back now everyone want powers to get some kick.
this is funny and sad and because of all the powers users will probally get another nerf or two soon.

YES, no more Zip bars. In lag, alot of the time the attack never goes off at all. Would give us a much better chance of staying alive....lol Master powers for over a year and still love it.

I've been thinking a Force Focus skill would be good. With the ability active all aoe/cones become single target. It would cost no force, but would need to be activated. This would limit toolbar space issues.

I think we are pushing it a bit there, though I can live with the AOEs, the zip bars I cannot.

I've always said that if you remove the zip bar and lower the action cost, powers wouldn't need a damage boost, I'd be happy with just that.

I love my Master Weilder to death, removing the zip bars would make my day man... that would be the best
*edit* no im not one that has recently switche to powers because their r no prems, i am tkm/MP/healer 4xxx and ive planned since before i got jedi to do this (reground to tkm before i finished teh village)

And take the zip bar off power attack too ? Give us an intimidate and area KD too thanks.
