Thread: A question about visiblity.

Ok, I am like most people grinding out xp in spin groups, and im noticing a LOT of Jedi in these groups.


Do they not gain visibilty (asume only 'our' group is in the area), We have, 7+ ppl around, isnt this jedi just asking to be on the terms? Or do group-mates not give visibilty anymore?


I read the FAQ and it says they do, but that doesnt make sense, why would all these jedi group then?


Just a point of my curosity for when I start the grind

faq hasn't been updated.

I believe it was pub 23 where they removed group members giving vis...


Either way your gonna get on the terms..

but you can grind with groups now without worrying about it, so only non-grp members give visibilty?

yeah, but "supposivly" non grouped pets do.. And you can't help against the entire groups that drive right through your lair while your grinding away, and the random shuttle drops.... O.o

You don't get vis when grinding in a group.


You get vis when other players come riding through, are within 32m of a npc, have non-grouped droids or pets in the area of your group (closer than 33m).


Also get vis (from what i've been told) from tuning crystals/pearls, equipping/un-equipping saber and maybe robes.

Your visibility is supposed to clear if you get killed by a BH. This is currently bugged, and your visibility is not resetting.

I heard itslike pool of points with a 3 weeks/1814400 secondstimer associated with each pointin the poolthat ticks off in seconds and counts down to 0 over a three week period. each point vanishes after three weeks. that being the reason people have a hard time getting off once they get on. May look some thing like this

each point has it's own seconds timer. it would only take one mistake to put enough points in it to end up back to terminal. I don't think it's a Neg /Pos pool like some people think it is below.

Because if you went terminal in this sytem you could potentially be on it forever. I know some people believe they are but it would not clear the same as the other system.

I sat my Jedi for 3 weeks to work off Vis (I was wanting to regrind some of my temp without having to worry about being hunted while doing it) , was out grinding on Naboo with my alt on assist (grouped) for a week, when one day a Stormtrooper spawned in the middle of my lairwith my saber lite. I immediately stopped , attacking and ran 50m away. I went back to grinding, after having my alt kill the Stormtrooper and within 10 minutes had a Bounty Hunter visit. I sent in a ticket explaining the situation that I sat my Jedi, shouldn't have had any vis, grinding for a week, had been very careful (I hadn't used any macro's around anyone, no equipping/unequipping saber, no force powers ect the whole week and had been fine, never once in my ticket did I mention the fact that a Stormtrooper spawned in the middle of my lair). I asked how in the world did I gain vis after being so careful and that I had heard that vis was broken or bugged at the moment. My response from CSR was that lighting a saber in front of a Stormtrooper (and remember I never even mentioned the Stormtrooper) creates a tremendous amount of visibility and that visibility is working as intended. So no matter how careful you are, you will get on the terms somehow. It is inevitable
