Thread: LA TAKE OVER OF SOE???

Ok lol I read something, not sure if he was being funny or if it is for real, if for real, could someone plese supply a link, clicky? Is this true that LA is getting rid of SOE? And if so, is this a good thing? (I would think so) and if so what does that mean for the game if anyone has heard any news?

I doubt that LA is getting rid of SOE simply because they are trying to save this game with the existing system in place. SOE are experts at hosting MMORPGs... look at all the ones they currently host! (by the way... that was "host" them, not "run" them) It would more than likely be prohibitively expensive to create that datawarehouse required for LA to fully take control.
But Julio is from LA, and it appears that they have at least taken over the creative design and game decisions from SOE, that's a GOOD THING! I don't care who codes the game, or who owns the server it's hosted on.... I care about who is calling the shots. With LA calling the shots, you can be sure that the game will be FAR MORE Star Warsy than it's become.

That IS great news and I agree, with them calling the shots, the game would be better. Anyone haev a thread, clicky or whatever to something offical I can read on this?

while i didn't expect this huge change, i had taken notice of LA's logo as of the trials of obi-wan and had assumed that LA has taken over the shot calling
