Thread: Why ADKs will be needed.
Weapons or armornever did decay in death only from use.
Only clothes decayed in death.
I've been thinking the same thing, but it seems that eys they COULD be getting rid of crafting, at least in the sense that we know it....
There are only 4 trader based professions, I'm assuming one of these will be Merchant. So 3 crafting profs; JTL isn't changing so that's SW taken care of....2 left. We will need houses and structures and other decor items....that's artisan/architect taken care of. We will need technological items....that's AS/WS/artisan as well. All 4 trader profs named in their likely forms, and each of the 3 crafting types will be making things that have no decay requirement. Sure, they might only sell a few guns or armour items....but as they are merged with other crafter profs that won't matter so much.
Crafting and economy is my biggest concern in this upgrade.....it seems to only cater for the gun toting maniacs among the player base, and nobody else.

Your weapons/clothes/Armor will still decay from use and damage. Lets use our brains here people they said they want to keep crafting a big part of the game so what would be the point if nothing decayed?A crafters inventory would soon get overstocked."
You are correct. SOE would never screw over a portion of its player community.
Did I say that with a straight face?

Item decay does suck. For crafters they would have to make ammo for weapons just like there are missles for space. I suppose grenades and landmines will have to be made. Of course you will still be able to sell the occasional house or furniture. Not much has been said about food, but if food stays, then there is lots of money there. Also resource sales.
I don't mind all the changes, if they made this a totally new game, I would probably buy it and play it, but trying to transition an entire gaming community that was built on a different system is just plain stupid.
