Thread: Every other combat profession wear armor obviously, what about Jedi defenses now?
Currently the Armor Certifications look like this:
Bounty Hunter - Assault
Smuggler - Recon
Commando - Assualt
Officer - Battle
Spy - Battle
Medic - Recon
Entertainer - None
Jedi - None
Trader - None
How is Jedi defense being taking care of? I know we get to block blaster shots but what about melee defense?
We are depending on our variety of skills to give us protection now, what about after NGE hits?
There will be about 5 or 6 stats from what I read in the faq. I am quite sure that if the jedi robes are not given armor modifiers, then your stats (I think it was like flexibility or something like that) will be modified so that Jedi are not pwned like a crafter standing naked in the field trying to empty a harvester.
ps does no decay apply to maintenance of harvesters and houses?
I'm guessing that you won't need them? The Jedi's innate ability to block shots, and use force armor, etc will most likely grow with you as you progess in your profession.
Luke/Obi-Wan never wore armor... but then again, they could block shots, and STs had REALLY bad aim!

Vader on the other hand, could BLOCK shots with his palm... a nice little trick!
I'm excited to try out the system on TC, but I doubt that I will grind up to a level 80 in the next 3 weeks...

you won't have to grind up in 3 weeks.
the first server is meant to have us test the lower levels.
From what I read there will be a point where we will prob "blue frog" up a little so that we can test the higer stuff.
Also, they are talking about test centering (I just trademarked this one.) actual servers so that the cu2 can be tested in a mock/live situation.
