I'm debating whether to take up Master Defender or stick with the popular FA + Aura combo. Would appreciate any input from current master defenders and people who have switched to or switched from master defender recently.

How's life as a Master Defender treating you lately?
If you're not MLS, how's things with only a little LS?
Have you faced any new breed CM/BH's and how'd it go?
Is Force Run 2 needed, or would you consider FR1 sufficient?
If you recently switched templates, what did you switch to/from and why?

Defender is good however its boring I plan to changed to master enhancer in the future just because you get a few more tricks to play with

I'm MLS/MDEF/3000Heal/0002Enhancer and I still love this template. My easiest time against a BH was a MBH/MCM (I've only fought the one so far), I think I got lucky though. I was on Dathomir and used the hills to my advantage. I have a +25 terrain negotiation belt that definately helped me, and the BH probably wasn't expecting that as he tried torun from me. I also keep a lot of burst run food stocked on my toolbar to chase them down since I have no force run. I do still have my /token respec left, so I may change eventually.

How's life as a Master Defender treating you lately? Pretty good No matter how much you hear the FOTM term, I chose my professions based on the kind of Jedi I wanted to be and I'm happy with my decision. I have a stand-and-fight kinda guy.
If you're not MLS, how's things with only a little LS? I had 0404 and was ok with it, but my MLS guildmates eventually convinced me that MLS was worth it, and after having both I'd tend to agree. Have you faced any new breed CM/BH's and how'd it go? Faced 2. Killed one and lost to the other, but it was my mistake and not the opponent's skill that killed me
Is Force Run 2 needed, or would you consider FR1 sufficient? Unless you are planning on going MEnh, FR1 is the way to go. FR2 has the damage reduction and it's not that much faster than FR1 for me to justify the dmg reduction. Force Run 1 serves me quite well, especially since it was switched to a toggle.
If you recently switched templates, what did you switch to/from and why? I had the dabble template of LS 0404, Master Defender, Healer 4040, and Enhancer 3002. After a couple of weeks I went back to the grind and moved to MLS, MD, H 3000, and E 2000. It was a little unnerving to drop from 1500 to 1000 pt heals, and also to drop Channel.to be honest in most cases 1000 pt Heals do the job and I carry a holo to restore force in emergencies and haven't had to use it yet. Overall,I win more than I used to.

High, I don't remember the exact number off hand, I'm at work (hehe)

But it's around 24 fc
