Thread: *NEW* Jedi, will you buy the expansion pack coming??

With the pearl drops still not fixed yet and it being our only primary weapon (minus powers) will you buy the Obi Trials expansion pack? I'm a pre-CU jedi and I was really dumb not to get my pearls when I had the chance, but who would of guessed that months later it is still not corrected??


My answer to my own question: No.


Just wondering what other non-perfect saber wielding jediare thinking.


Oh, and anyone else have the feeling that they will add a quest for some special dmg crystal/pearl (ONLY ONE though, they wouldn't dare give us four) that you can put in your saber just to dangle the carrot for us desperate enough to have to buy it.

I love all content and the game in general, so yes. Not buying an expansion just because you're pi**ed at a bug doesn't send a message to SOE, it just means you miss out on even more things to do.

atm,I dont think so.


However, I am interested in see thefindings of the focus group from San Francisco. Hopefully they may finally get through to SOE what we've been telling them all along, (insert anti SOE diatribe here)

Of course I will be buying it, since for once there seems to be Jedi content that doesn't involve BH's and PvP.

And yes, I expect there will be saber loot that will make it a must have for us.

We all will. We all will becuase they will make some loot like a lava saber that's better DPS than any that can be crafted available only from a quest on this planet. Since LS's cant be traded, buying the expansion will be the only way to get it.


Ok so this is a guess, but you wait and see. SOE aint daft. Jedi bought ROTW so they could explore with a low risk of BH. BH bought ROTW so they could hunt the Jedi who migrated to Kash. There will be some golden carrot for everyone. Trust me.

Aren't they devoting the next few publishes to fixing bugs in the game? That tells me that they're serious about bug fixes to me. Not buying an expansion in protest will leave you as the only one without the expansion pack while the rest of us are enjoying the new content.


Protests seem to only work if in large masses, not by one or two individuals. At least not these days.

Personally I think they should get rid of the whole crystal/pearl need and make building your lightsaber quest based. They would have had the opportunity to fix the FRS, saber crafting, and jedi grinding issues with making "Trials of Obi" with quest based content for Jedi as a next step out of the village and creating content that could drive these things. I'm just saying Jedi is really still pretty screwed up in many areas and they could have used this expansion as an opportunity to fix a lot of it to make it go in the right direction.
