Thread: New thought: when LD can't be attacked

I think DEVS should implement this into game. When ur LD cannot be attacked. Especially Valdi at BH vs. Jedi . How many times have we gone LD at the heat of the battle. And connected only to find ourselves in the Cloner. It's such an annoying feeling to die because of connextion Lost.

and what would stop me from pulling the plug on my connection as soon as im getting beat down?

Then every time a BH would come for a Jedi, he'd just go LD eithier to avoid the XP loss or piss off the Bounty Hunter...

Only u get the connection lost will u not be attackable. if u use the disconnect command u can still be attacked. its easy to check if u use it.

I think the answer is. Don't go LD in the open or a public building - Problem solved.

Even if you don't go LD on purpose, I am not sure the game can figure out you are LD before the BH kills you.

Pull the connection off your modem, invulnerable. And yes, people would do it, its how many got into the geo before it was opened(and subsequently banned i may add).

It's not a new thought. It is actually an old one.People would exploit it to avoid death so it won't happen.

What are you actually losing when you die? If you're full templated or normal profession, you're taking a little hit of faction? No big deal there. If you're a grinding padawan? XP, but there is a simple solution to that- Stop TRYing to get on the terminals. Yes I said TRY, because it is so easy to stay off the terminals these days that it takes a conscious effort to actually gain visibility.

I'm a Bounty Hunter so maybe my opinion doesn't count here, but the answer to the question for me is once and zero. If your Jedi is that important to you and it happens all the time, get a better connection.

Then, if you are going to lose, you just pull the network cable. Sorry, no dice. That is an exploit waiting to happen.

Well my opinion on this is, if you DONT have bh tef already and you are linkdead they cant attack, if you have tef and you go link dead, your either really unlucky or obviously trying to get out of dying so to the cloner you go.
