A regular weapon. There is no more "Pistol/Jedi/Rifle/Carbine/BH/etc" Experience, only 3 types, Combat (as in every type of experience), Crafting and Social.

So my guess is that players will start as a normal ranged profession, get some combat XP, "get in touch" with the force and use a lightsaber.

I bet you start out with a nooby saber as FS

guys... i think its like this, any existing player can respec to jedi, but new players will have to go through FS, thats why we have 10 respec's, we can test out all 9 then choose, and it says we will be able to respec o jedi (jedi to jedi, regular to jedi)

yeah, this was clearly stated in the original announcments, and yet peopel are still going on about newbies getting Jedi staraight away.

Where do they say you have to work yourrself up from FS to jedi, FS/jedi has been combined to Force sensitive, I haven't seen anywhere that you can progress to jedi, you progress trough the FS profession, but you will only be a full temp FS, sort off like you can only become a full temp paddy now and can't become knight or master
