yuo could have a point. If you go too gamespot they have screenies.For the Luke icon it only says force sensitive and not jedi.

If you read some of the statements about the changes, they say the Path to Jedi will be changed... and if you noticed, it's obviously no coincidence that Glowie vanished from upcoming players status. I am beginning to think they're going to hide how to become a jedi again, and stop people from becoming it 100% but still baiting them on like greyhounds chasing stuffed bunnies.

There are no theories. It's staring you right in the face:

1- SOE wants money

2- SWG is by SOE

3- Players pay SOE for SWG

4- Players (most) want to be Jedi

5- Players leave the game because getting Jedi is too tiresome

6- SOE think more would pay and come back if getting Jedi wasn't such a pain

7- SOE makes Jedi a starter class in the hopes of making more money

It's business. Which I agree with. Making Jedi an alpha class screwed over non jedi. However, most players want tob e Jedi just to be a Jedi. They could care less about being "uber 1337". These are the players that will most likely enjoy the new system. It's the Jedi that only rolled it for being the alpha class that will have a problem.

I absolutely agree with you 100%, I guarantee you this eventhough you obtain FS status their will still be some hard @$$ missions involved.

I for one think also that the group thing will be the only way in actually obtaining jedi status, beleive me with SOE's record on the development of jedi there will be some type of negative involved with this, nothing is as easy as a lot of people think or want it to be.

Kinda funny how I see folks that said they will never have a desire to become a jedi talking about being 1 now.

Well supposedly they aren't just going to start Jedi. Apparently they'll start as "Glowing" IE: without having to chase badges/do the village trials.

Supposedly it will be as if they're going to start right as a init, I guess... but again nobody knows for sure yet.


I bet they'll throw the path to the jedi into the wind like they did the FRS until finally players get fed up, but alas, what does SOE care? They already stole our money (I just got the email confirming they took my ToOW money and I'm cancelling my account. Great loss of 45 bucks already.) and they will be stealing a newbies 19.95 or whatever. Not like the newbie will care all that much since they will play for a month then leave to play SW: Battlefront II, or some other game. They're aiming at the Xbox generation that tends to buy a game and drop it within days.

I know I do the same thing to PS2 games. I bought 3 games last month, beat them all, now they'll gather dust in my "collection..."

Wrong, they are called Force Sensitive because that's what they are, Force Sensitive. You have to work through some new quests now to become a Jedi, you don't start off as one.
