Thread: NGE- The Spiritual Crisis
A few days ago, a dramatic event occurred within our galaxy. Individuals are still reeling from dramatic changes to our way of life, though their responses are as varied as a Tatooine Cantina. For some, the loss rules and order have brought a sense of rage and confusion. Others seek hope in the unknown. The common factor for both sides is the unknown. Not it seems that we must figure out each day how to simply go outside and get about our daily lives. That what was once extremely valuable now seems worthless and no one is sure what will be worth anything tomorrow.
The lines have been drawn in how people have been responding to this. On one side is denial, rage, and disbelief in the face of change. The other side is optimistic, willing to give change a change and trust in the change. What I see is a spiritual crisis. A deitific entity has come in an changed the face of the world. Some face this with utter disbelief and rage and rebel against the almighty. Others have simply had their faith strengthened in the creator and find need in professing that faith.
We are undergoing a spiritual schism in the face of the proof of gods. So now, those without faith in those gods (does anyone now find the name Thunderheart ironic?) are rebelling against the changing system that they simply don’t understand and cannot control. Others are left with no choice and reconciling to the changes. And those of the greatest faith are even praising the changes sight unseen. We are living in a virtual simulation of an act of god, and seeing how people of different opinions and beliefs are responding.
What I am seeing is how people respond to an almighty power making a decision that we neither clearly understand or have been given anywhere near enough information to rationalize. We can personify intent, either beneficial or malignant, but the undeniable truth as any religion would state, is that while we lowly beings cannot understand, our overlords must be making the decision that they can see is best for the long term. Well, if you believe in omniscience and omnipotence, which we will see over the next few months.
So the question is what is next? It would seem if people are not just bluffing we will be experiencing a mighty, dare I say it, rapture? For those, yes I will say it, left behind, what will this spiritual crisis bring? Ahhh, right now I don’t care, I am just enjoying watching the sputtering rage filled, and often irrational cursing offset by the faithful support and sycophantic praise. I almost wish I was a college student or researcher to do a detailed study!
