Why am I getting this error message when trying to update my signature?

i put in a lightsaber in my sign but everytime i update it, it just puts the code out. do i gotta put it in HTML code format?

Ive been getting that same error since june or so, wanted to alter my sig

Get that message from time to time. Im also forced to reregister to swg fanclub thingy sometimes when I try to log into the forum.. Its bugged as hell
