Thread: Jedi Force Powers/Enhancer

Sooo, I did a little playing around last night with some buddies.

My original template (and I probably will still go with this) is Master Powers, Master Enhancer, Healing 4040.

I lost every single duel against the other 3 Jedi I fought. My Force Choke did a mighty 91 damage for a cost of 300 force points. Breach sometimes removed Force Valour but it was kind of random so didnt always work (and cost as much to cast as the target used casting force valout anyway!). This did trip them up a little because I think they were using Macros to re-apply it every nn seconds, although one of the Jedi told me he just turned his macro off and didnt bother using it half way through the fight because his innate defences meant that I wasnt doing enough damage to worry him.

The best I could dowas Force Stasis (and hope it lands) and then Force Run III away. Can anyone think of any way whatsoever that my template could beat any other template that includes either Master Defender or at least 2 or 3 full lines of defender?

So it seems. Said fixes, of which we have any detail, include a 50%+ reduction in Force cost, and more appropriate to your question, the possibility that Force Weaken will act as an Armour Break.

Now, how much that will help remains to be seen. If sabers are going to receive a 20% or so damage boost from the inclusion of elemental damage, then Wielder may well be back to square-one as even with a 50% Force cost reduction (sabers will still cost way less Force to use)and armour break, sabers will still out-damageWielder and use less Force.

True, sabers will always outdmg, and save more force than any forcepower. Its really a shame, for all of us that doesnt think Master Defender is the way to go.

Choke will also bypass all armour including innate. This should stop the pitiful 20-100 dmg tick and bump it up to atleast 200-300 as i think force defense will still help against it. But should be ticking at 400-500 fo those with no force defense

I chose master Powers mainly for Force Breach. It seemed like a good idea at the time, to help deal with avoid incap'd defenders that we always seem to find. Funny thing though, it doesn't seem to work on avoid incap.

Out of around 12-15 attempts, never once broke an avoid incap. Can anyone else confirm that it's not breaking AI?

Thanks.

thats right avoid incap cannot be removed soa defender with ai and channel can stand there and run AI and channel back force and be pretty much invulnerable.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Now my next question... Is this as intended? If so, I fully intend on dumping Master Powers for something more desirable. I hate to do it, I like my current template because it's different. However, my template choice was based on an assumption that one of the master abilities would work like I thought it would. (Apparently not the case.)

And with the possibilty of healer 'fixes', plus one last respec chance... Makes me wonder if I should just be a sheep and take Defender.
