I'm all for Jedi being 1x a normal profession at Padawan. I really don't care. However, aside from the obvious difficulties of balancing a combination of 5 trees against a combination of 20+ trees, a Jedi that is 1x as strong as a normal profession is actually not *equal* to a normal profession.
The force bar creates an artificial cap on the amount of time a Jedi can participate in combat. A cap by which normal professions are not hindered. Having the same DPS, same Healing, same Defenses as a normal profession is all fine, but the Force Bar makes all of them subpar. While a normal profession can theoretically fight indefinately, the Jedi has a limited amount of time to fight before he must break combat or die.
It is this imbalance that makes any attempt to reduce Jedi down to the level of a normal profession flawed as it will only push them below the level of a normal profession.
If Jedi is 1x as powerful, it should be able to fight as long as a normal profession. This makes Jedi weaker.
If Jedi is 1.5x as powerful, it should be able to fight for 10 minutes for everynormal professions 15. This makes them "equal".

Yeah, the reason for jedi having power was that they would be limited by thier force bar, now its more of a hindrance. /shrug
Hopefully this gets looked at sometime before Im old and grey.

You said it Motor, "Theoretically". But we are not anywhere equal in anyway shape or form.

i personally believe that the ruby biel exploit / cool down timer exploit should be fixed before any more nerfs happen.

That is the biggest problem with jedi. We have all the same costs as regular professions but with the additional cost of the forcebar. There is now way for jedi to be strong if they have such limitations because all other other professions know just to wait for our force to run dry. That is the easy "I win" button against jedi...stay alive till their force runs out. With the possible TC changes jedi won't even be able to get away once force does run out.

yes, but according to this recent post jedi use almost exactly half as much mind as a regular proff (and if the posted TC numbers are true, jedi won't be using any mind.).

thats how it should be, relying on our 2 main bars, force and health. not 4 bars, now if they only took action cost off sabers, and put our damage back to "lightsaber" damage and have no resists, then we'll be good.

jedi LOOK strong, powerful, and uber on the outside. my action cost for my saber is reallylow, i can aura, force armor,and infusion plus the food. When i fight like 4 pickets at a time, my health barely goes down. What everyone does not see is my force bar is taking a beating by these pickets. more nerfs=cancelled accounts. plain and simple
and LS damage, hells yea! talk about a gift for the jedi! (too bad it will never happen tho)

well maybe after SOE nerfs jedi to 1x the normal professions they will do away with a limited force bar...... i mean noone ever saw yoda say "sorry we cannot train today padawans, im out of force"
