i havent read the books but it probably has to do with his marrage.

and on that note I heard episode 7 - 9 may not be made because the old man might die before they start. even though they have the scripts all made.

its beyond me how movies like harry potter and Lord of the rings can come out with a movie 1 or 2 years but it takes 5 or so years per movie of star wars?

he gets appointed to be palpatines personal guard. palpatine spits game. anakin goes crazy. he force chokes his bride. obi wan kicks his ass throws him in lava. obi wan takes one kid to tat one kid to alderan. oh and obi wan is stationed on the wookie homeworld. (all jedi's are generals in the armry)
