Thread: Equiped saber b4 using powers?

Thats the rumor of the future. But for now, you could certainly have fun until then.
I wish questions like this would get more attention...not only does this affect all grinding Jedi, but also the true hybrid templates (those who stop halfway through the grind to play with interesting templates). Many people clearly do not understand what this means and how many people it will affect. It will ruin some people's templates, and it will drastically alter the grinding process.
Has anyone in ToOW beta tested to see if Jedi can or cannot use force powers with a non-lightsaber weapon equipped? And before anyone says anything ignorant such as "this is how it is in live already" I can assure you that this is not the case. The only thing preventing the use of force powers currently, as far as I am aware, is armor.

This question is stupid.............there is no reason why powers should need a saber Equiped !!

Does the emperor performs choke wielding his saber in the movies?
Does OBI WAN need to use his glowing stick to use Mind Trick?
Does luke skywalker uses a saber to free himself from Jabba?
Does Anakin skywalker wields a saber when he move objects using the force?
Of course NOT!
Powers of the force are an innate/enhnced ability to manipulate the force and use it to do things....the need of a weapon (lightsaber) to perform a mental quality does not make sense.

Only a rumor sparked by a hacked .tre file. Correct me if I'm wrong but no one with any sway has ever chimed in on this or even stated they feel hybrids weren't intended. And for the record there are a lot of thing sin those files that have never even made it to testing.
I mean the minute they made it so or mains would be the jedi, they okayed the hybrid jedi imo.
