I am posing a template question here for anyone who can help or may have tested this extensively. I was going for Master Sabers / 3402 Enhancer / 4000 Healer / 0044 Defender as a template. I was considering changing my 3402 Enhancer / 0044 Defender to 3002 Enhancer / 4044 defender.
My question is obviously wether or not the extra innate Jedi armor and the +90 more melee defense offsets giving up the Imp Armor and other skills if I plan on doing more PvE then PvP. I would still do PvP, but would not be a primarily PvP focused Jedi...thoughts on this please?
Thank you..

So you are pretty much trying to figure out if droping force amor line wihch offers 4000 armor to pick up defender melee line which offers 1200 armor and +90 defense. I think its pretty self evident at this point. If you plan on doing any serious PvE your not going to have enough armor with the defender melee line alone, had you had the ranged line also, then it would of been another story.
Master Sabers / 3402 Enhancer / 4000 Healer / 0044 Defender .... is a good template the only thing Im not really sure is worth it is the 0/0/0/4 part in defender. As I see it, its an extra drain on you, with aura and force armor, I think you will be draining to quickly if you add valor to the mix and for what? so block a few more hits that even if they landed on you with aura and force armor they would hit you for 100 or less. Is it worth it? you tell me. Me personally I would throw those 20 SP in either the melee line or Sap or something. The reason force armor is good is it makes you almost equal to master def, do you want to drop that?
good luck

With force feedback and with The new MOB AI coming along, I think 4/0/4/0 Defender and the x4xx Line of enhancer are going to be come very popular templates. Especially with the AI nerf happening.

Thanks for the feedback, that's exactlly what I was looking to hear. I guess I took up Valor because I thought it would be more beneficial against BH's or Powers Jedi, but, again, when finished with the template, I am not looking to do more PvP than PvE, but I will do PvP at times. I just never knew how the Force Armor numbers played out.
Thanks, from an appreciative Jedi...

since ai is usless now thanks to the devs, why not make the master ability a valor/aura type defense, at least you dont have to waste valuable force on having to macro both when an approrpiate reward for a mastery skill should be the combination of the only two remainding powers in defender that is worth anything. man, i shouldnt say that valor and aura are good, the devs will kill it next.

Well, the flip-side of this is that Force NPC's now use all their abilities, and this makes for a much more intertesting fight and often far longer. I have a Jedi toon on TC2 that is MLS / Eh 3402 / Def 4040 / Heal 4000 and effective as it is the Force Drain of FA2 can be a real problem. And yes, the new AI does use Force Drain....
