I've heard so much talk about what you can and can't do to avoid vis and it's all boiled up to the fact that I needed good info.. Lol. So please, can someone post something that's been confirmed about most or all of the known and current visibility rules for me? Thanks in advance.

Using force powers or igniting your saber within 35m of another player or NPC gives you vis. It's been said that equipping/unequipping your robes/saber will give you vis too but I'm not sure on that one.

Samiel (Chimaera) - Jedi Patriot of the *old* system
Kroenen (Chimaera) - TKM/MFencer/MBrawler/x434 Swords (alt)
Destry (Gorath) - MBH/MRM/xxx3 Pist/xx2x Medic
Juang-Won (Bloodfin) - MFencer/MSwords/MBrawler/xx1x TKA/421x Medic

ok. Well is there a link to a list that's actually been confirmed with this stuff?

I keep getting told 'if you don't like it, stay off the terms' and it's hard to do when you don't know what's true and what's not anymore

ok here's a rundown..

We're not really sure what _actually_ does give vis, as the rules have been changed around so many times, however not once has a dev actually stated what the ruleset was.

What we are sure of.

Using anything that modifys your force pool within 32m of any players or humanoid NPC's. (been stated that you can be attacked, and your saber igniting won't give you vis, it's attacking back that will give it to you)

There is a reduction however if the players seeing you are the same faction, this applies to npc's. (can't be _sure_ of this, as there is no way to judge how much vis we have, however widely assumed and stated multiple times)

what possibly gives vis:

Ungrouped pets, ungrouped droids.

what might give vis (currently in debate) Swoops, (vehicles) certain non-humanoid npc's

An old rule was that if a BH killed you, you were cleared from the terminals. (however never worked. Then we were told that if a BH killed you, it decayed some of your vis. (doesn't make since, as you were still huntable) Then the third time they said you would get a 24 hour grace period upon a bh death (again, also bugged) That was the last statement I remember hearing on the matter about bh deaths, however all of these were well, well before the CU.

Basic rule is however, if it's grouped with you, it won't report you. To stay on the safe side, just avoid all the above. In reality tho, one way or another you will get on the terms. Wether it's by people flying by on their swoops, or a shuttle of stormtroopers landing on your head, just always be prepared.

Victum has it right, except that I think it is 32m. Any action that drains force from your force bar will cause visibility if you are within range of a player or npc. This includes tuning crystals.

It has been like this since before the cu and the only change since is that group members no longer add to visibility.

Equipping/unequipping robes/saber has always been debated but never really settled. Just wearing a robe or carrying a saber does not add to vis, but if you are aggroed by an npc while carrying that saber it will do the trick.
