I'm trying to find out if FV is a good skill to pickup but the people in my guild say its not worth it. What I want to know from people who have is is if its useful to have or just a waste of skill points?

for BH fights it is if you need help killing BH's then i would get it. I my self will never get it but thats just me.

kinda depends. i hear it dosnt reduce your damage output like its supposed to...so assume that it does for our purposes.

kinda boils down to wether or not you plan to do FRS. its been said more saber block mods will be in the frs ranks, so if you dont really want to do the frs it kinda saves you trouble to get more blocks.if you do want to do teh frs, id do without valor, simply because in frs your goal will be fighting jedi more than anything else..and jedi dont shoot at you so block is no huge need, and if you are advanceing you are getting more block anyway. if you fight BHs and normal professions more than jedi, then it might be useful..just depends on your needs

If you're planning to beat other Jedi, you should already have valor, in a Master Defender template. I find valor is useful in fights with multiple ranged NPCs and against riflemen in large scalePvP. As a MDEF, I don't take enough damage to warrant using it against a BH. In fact, I barely need to use Aura. Improved Infusion seems to be enough in most cases.

Valor is useful. It doubles the block of a Master Lightsaber. Whether you should get it or not depends on what you're designing your template to do. If you want to kill Jedi, you should be master defender. If you want to be some support role for pvp, then you don't need valor as you shouldn't be on the front line. For PvE, I'd get it. You'll be glad you have it when 20 level 80 NPCs start blasting at you.
