This has happened about 13 times to me today when soling krayts for pearls. I'm kitingitwith myalt (MBH/MR), its down to about half health, then suddenly it breaks combat and runs away. When I catch up with its sitting down about 100m away fully regened? Any way of stopping this? Its really annoying

Thanks

Don't let them get too far from their spawn point. Once they get about 100m away from where they spawned, they retreat.

The real issue with Krayts retreating is the fact they no longer have access to premium pearls, so when they start to lose the fight they run.

I know BAD JOKE

I tend to root andhit. Snare when the root runs out. When he gets close I kd him. Run past him towards his spawn area and root him again. Then repeat, running between his spawn area and about 60-70m away from it at the most. Of course, sometimes you will miss and you must improvise. I'm sure you can figure out what to do there.

*edit* but it looks like youdon't have a root. Unless your leftover skill points are 0004 pistols. So, maybe just kite and kd when you get too far away, and then run back.

Just makea broad circle near is spawn point then you are fine.

Personally i don't need root, just snare and it's fairly easy. I like to do KD for extra damage and root to use sniper shot before he starts moving again.

Also having ranged arms pwns for something like this.

qfe.... i just mastered ls and what ive been doing being my old geo blaster hits for more damage than my glow bat, is pullin the krayts to the other spawns in the area ie banthas, and i turn off all area and let the krayt pull aggro cause he areas, and all i do is ab and kd and let the aggro finish him. works for me

3 Words, CIRCLE OF DEATH

As master Ranger/Rifleman I was pretty weak, only rifleman specials, Ranger sucked and no healing, But using circle od death (keep him rooted/snared) they never even hit me and I could take them down in a few mins. I have solo'd Grand Krayt this way in the graveyard even with all the others wandering around. Practice, Practice, Practice. If a lone Mrifleman can do it, you sure can....

If you target the krayt and type /waypoint, it sets a waypoint at the spawn point. As long as you stay within 150 m of that waypoint, you shouldn't have any trouble with retreating. Use kneecap shot or underhand shot to slow him down when you start circling or he'll be able to cut the corner and do some damage.
