I did knight trials pre-cu as a rebel and went Imperial shortly after they disabled it .

what will i be when they re-instate it?

Reinstating it may be a while. But, supposedly the old FRS and the new one will have nothing to do with each other, meaning you will most likly have to redo the trials. Though, technically, you won't be redoing them, since they should be new. So, you will be a padawan..
