Thread: To Jedi with Powers , my heart goes out to you !

First of all I'm a BH, and have been for a while. I think it's SAD that you guys are gonna get nerfed if the rumors are true. I know for a fact that people with powers already have low defenses, and now they wanna be able to wipe the floor with you. ANd this was done not only by BH, but by other Jedi as well. NOW is the time for you guys to stand up and RIP the other Jedi professions and BH apart !!! These people know your defenses suck !!! And without effective cloak you're pretty much a punching bag for everyone. Eventually all Jedi with have the same template, only difference will be the quality of your pearls. So tear them apart now while you can, and before the game is nerfed into nerf HELL. They're a lot of flaws with other profession, such as Master Defender for example. Please don't sit down and take this from these " I wanna be the best in PVP" players. They're trying to increase their game experience, while ruining yours !!!! STAND UP AND BE HEARD !! STOP THE NERFS WHILE YOU CAN, IF NOT, JOIN THEM AND GET THEM NERFED INTO NEXT WEEK !!!

You guys should do some user groups before considering this broad of a change.
I'm Master Powers ... a skill that SHOULD be fairly tough, SHOULD be able to hold it's own. Now you guys are radically changing one of the things that makes Powers cool. Force Cloak should not be under the same logical rules as any other professions stealth moves. You are saying "Jedi are no different than Rangers in this move" ... you are adding a Snare to this move ... it takes away our ability to be an Alpha Strike force, or allow us to Get AWAY when things go south. And most Master Powers are not tough enough to really take too much abuse.
Please work with the team to reconsider this fundamental change.
Many of us work hard to build a character within the SCOPE you guys have defined ... with a Jedi ... it's 13million xp to do it ... to change my template now, based on your NEW SCOPE ... will take months. i can't play all day long, i have a job.
Please, think about the effect on this SMALL POPULATION that is Master Powers. Make Cloak a Master Level skill and don't CHANGE IT.

so then we are all easy for you to kill? btw, i don't call for nerfs, i think jedi is fine the way it is.... the only thing in that cloak nerf i disagreewith (maybe) is the snare, but then again AI got snare, and AI dies off easier than Cloak.

i used my last respec 2 weeks ago, i was MLs/Mdef for 6 months, got really bored...so i used my respec to go Mpowers with some dabbling...now i SOOO with id stayed with my old temp

oops, not really easy to kill, lol. Sorry about that, I've had some people with powers deal some sweet damage that kept me healing until my mind ran out. But they shouldn't nerf cloak

Nerfing powers??? WTH... powers are useless against most jedi already.
Though it kicks non jedi arse... Choke,KD,mind blast,Lighting, force hit, lightning...sometimes the fight is already over at this point.

I mean no offense Magneto....and I know this will come off as a flame..but I don't intend it to, but respec'ing to Master Force Wielder just to get 0400 was your mistake. Now if you wanted to be a Powers user in general (which is what I am) then I don't think that you would be as bothered by this change, but if all you wanted was cloak then you really should not have gone mpowers. I use cloak as an alpha-strike all the time and I can certainly live with the coming changes if I have to as I still have ways to get out of a fight if I need to. MPowers is a completely different playstyle then MLS/MDef and perhaps that is why this bothers you so much. Learn to use powers to you advantage and I am sure you will be fine, otherwise back to the grind you go!

rofl...i didnt respec to powers for cloak...thats crazy...but its our only defense....if your not a Mpowers u dont know how gimped we r...u guys have feedabck, aura, inate armor and force shield to block our attacks.....we have nothing in powers to keep us alive other than cloak...didnt u guys see episode 3? soon as the emporer was in trouble he was getting the hell out of there, 2 bad the green midget got in his way

No, now is the time for all Jedi to argue against the complete nerf of the skill. Some changes need to be made like the interaction part, but the snare is a little much, even if AI got a snare.
If all Jedi will have the same template why would people want to tear that template down? lol People will drop Powers for Defender and sabers and wont want to try and nerf those skills ahead of time.
This should be the goal, to save as much of cloak's uniqueness and functionality as possible
Thisd is not a good idea, even though it is generally what happens. People need to be unbiased and strive for balance, not just try and get things nerfed because the skill they had and liked got brought back to the pack. In the end it just goes nerf after nerf, until all professions are so boring to play.

FYI...im MPowers/LS0401/Def0040/Enh3003/Healer4000. I do just fine. MPowers doesn't stand on its own and no otherJedi treedoes. Is Mpowers broke? Yes and it needs fixed, but people were horrilbly abusing cloak...we are lucky they didn't just remove it from the game. A change to cloak was inevitable and before they announced this there were two opions, move it to the master box or remove it from the game. They appear to have compromised and left it where it is, but tweaked it so that it could not be abused. Those with just Powers 0400 should be happy about this as they can still use cloak as an alpha-strike, those with Master Powers should be more concerned with the other powers that are broken\underpowered....but not cloak.
And yes...the snare is a bit much if you ask me.

It seems obvious that SoE don't want jedi to be able to escape any fights, they keep nerfing all our escape skills....It just doesn't make sense several jedi in the movies have used their skills to escape...we're talking jedi here not Klingons or Luxans who would rather die on the battlefield than to live and fight another day..
SoE is really starting to pish me off.... this game shouldn't be called Star Wars anymore... How about "Bogus Galaxies"
