First, why should everyone have to play your version of Jedi. Thousands of other people play this game, not just you.

Second, how does the way someone else plays their Jedi, effect your gamplay? My guess is that it doesn't effect it very much.

But, since every non-cloaker wants to see Cloak nerfed, bring it on! That way they can get busy nerfing your template. And when that happens and you start to cry don't be suprised when people like me come back and tell you, without any pity, that I told you so.

Well, I don't have powers anymore, but I do feel for ya guys. I'm a Mdef and it about killed the skill and made it 98% worthless when they nerfed it. Who cares ifyou can take a beating while trying to escape? you've only moved 10m at the end of that beating. But by snaring you they will have the opposite effect of what they are intending with cloak. Think about it, you'll still be able to run away with it as you won't get snared until you're 20m+ away andinvisible. However, making it so you have to slowly walk into battle for that "first strike" ability will suck.

Currently you can easily /follow a Jedi or a BH can just track you the entire time. If you think you are going anywhere under a snare while cloaked, think again. It is no longer a recharge/escape ability once the nerf happens and as you said "slowly walking into battle" sucks for a first strike ability.

Its not complaining when a skill is losing 100% of its usefulness. With the snare, it really isn't a first strike skill anymore, you move too slow. Rangers and Riflemen can survive having a snare, because they both will likely be using rifles that can hit form 60m+ away....the best jedi skill hits from 32m.

I really don't have too much of a problem with a jedi being unable to heal (either themself or others), talk to npc's, open crates, etc. while cloaked. I do mind having a snare added.

And yes, you are being selfish. I don't have any def or enhancer. If this change goes through, I'll complain about further nerfs to aura, ai, stasis, fr3, whatever. Jedi as a whole is getting nerfed to uselessness with each 'fix'. If you can't see that and see why you should fight for all of our trees to be fixed and not nerfed to uselessnes, then is certainly a ME factor.

Your also a padawan. You have no idea what plans they have for cloak once a jedi is entered in the FRS.

Your premiseis right in the fact that FRS could change the landscape however with cloak in particular its the basic ruleset for stealth gamewide and that has far less ability to be changed by mods in the FRs system. however it would be nice to propose a 2 layer cloak system with an advaced cloak at master which removes the snare. I'm all for the removal of the ability to loot while cloaked and heal others while cloaked. but the snare is overboard and I could certainly live with a two teir cloak with a master cloak not having the snare. that seems to limit the ability without devastating the proffession or discipline for the masters.

I do agree the snare is overboard, but I do think that cloak should be basic as a padawan and then as you progress up FRS you can do more, such as run, heal, etc etc

well that is a totally different situation. If the devs were implementing something like cloak at x4xx Powers gives you the snare with all the other limitation, Master box improved cloak lets you remove the snare and then the FRS lets you add a few things back in (i.e., healing yourself, channeling, forcerun, etc), then a nerf now would not be entirely problematic...just a serious pain until the FRS comes out.

Unfortunately, I hold out no hope that the devs will be reasonable in any fashion regarding a compromise to the proposed cloak nerf. At this point, i'm simply holding out hope that they just don't add a snare, or heck, give MP a version that doesn't have a snare. I'll likely be disappointed.

just a question.

If jedi is a PVP class, why is it that MP MLS is said to be a roleplaying template and that if you want to pvp you should get a pvp template.
