Thread: Hit the Old Respec Button Last Night Relief Is Overwhelming!

Yeah, the upcoming cloak snare convinced me that resistance is futile. My two Jedi are now Master Defenders.

Jedi 1 is MLS/MD/3000 Enhancer/2000 Healer, Dark Jedi Knight (in old FRS).

Jedi 2 is MP/MD/3000 Enhancer/2000 Healer.

My reasons are based on my playstyle and some educated assumptions on where we are now and where we are going:

1. Seems to be the safest, most powerful route to choose for Jedi, given the direction the devs are taking.

2. I think with the cloak snare nerf outcry and the explosion of new complaints to come when this goes live, Jedi will get yet another respec when FRS comes back. Maybe even when the new expansion comes in November. And I think it's possible ALL players will get a respec when the new expansion comes in.

3. Even if no respec comes, Master Defender suits my playstyle.

4. I'm staying a dual master no matter what. But I have comprised on my dual master/two fours templates - those just aren't viable anymore and probably never will be again.

5. I was gonna go MP/Master Enhancer with my second Jedi and use Force Run/Cloak together. Woulda been fun. But since you won't be able to Force Run/Channel/Meditate with Cloak anymore, that makes cloak useless for Master Enhancers. Cloak will work better for Defenders now, due to Defenders needing so much less Force to survive.

6. With cloak nerf and Master Powers weakness, and with Bac hinting that FRS will be a one-on-one thing, MLS/MDef will rule FRS - unless Master Powers gets boosted. If it does, I will have a Master Powers Jedi ready to go.

7. With both of my Jedi as Master Defenders, I will benefit from using similar Master Defenders strategies, rather than having to mentally switch gears everytime I switch characters.

8. Due to the cloak nerf, I really believe Master Powers will get some real and much needed improvements to their attack abilities. If they don't, Powers is not viable vs. other Jedi.

9. Just got tired of waiting. I feel so relieved now that this respec is out of the way, no matter how it turns out.

Lots of other reasons, but I gotta get to work!

Sounds Good My guess is you know what you're doing and you know how to play master defender.

Would you share your expertise on how to play master defender effectively now!

Either against BH's or against hard boss creatures

prolly your an idiot

i too have 2 accts on same server with 2 jedi. one is prepatch nine jedi....when you are a completed temp there is not much to do. i bought a second acct to have fun and see how easy the new system is. low and behold in half the time it took to get jedi prepatch nine i have a second jedi. that answers that question i guess. to those that think the new system is hard or on par with the old system...you are not very good at this game and should quit.

now 0 of 175k as of dec 25th....
i am a soe shareholder and do know how many active accts there are.

yeah, it's possible to have two jedi on the same account. I was thinking of doing that myself. However, I decided to make a char on my second account a Jedi. Turned out to be the best decision, as I can use my first Jedi to help the newly FS toon grind now. As for playing a MD template, just keep in mind that aura is used against a melee attacker and valor against a range attacker. No need to use both if you only fighting one type of attacker (like BH). Conserves your force.

Aura will reduce the damage taken from ALL attacks. Range and Melee.

Ouch this is odd. How can I get money?

Is this related to the 8 characters max/account or what? I have 6 atm.
