was master defender, now use improved armor and aura and find it just as good. so yes, to answer your question, AI isnt worth it anymore.

Against a Master Lightsaber opponent hitting you with force armour, don't you find it drains your force very quickly?

i dont realy have a problem with it in pvp....i have more force problems in pve, when like 5 weak mobs hit me, my force goes down realy fast, thats why i dont use it for low-lvl pve

Improved FA gives you +70 to innate armour with a lowered force cost over that of FA.

Improved aura gives you +500 to melee and ranged defence.

With both of these skills, with FA on you will have an innate armour of +90 overall (the cap being +100)

Aura acts differently, with it active and providing your melee / ranged defence is higher than your opponents accuracy, it will cause your opponent to miss you more often. It also acts that when they do hit you, it causes damage to you at the minimum damage their weapon can do rather than the higher.

Improved FA = +40, not +70 .. you reach +70 by the +20 you receive at Jedi Initiate and +10 with Nov Def.

IMO armor + aura = master defender without AI... No wait, you actually have more innate armor than a master defender .

I have Improved FA and Improved Aura in my temp. I have no complaints about them at all, definately a good way to go if you ask me. If you are to dabble get maybe an improved version and just a regular version of the other I suggest getting Improved FA and just regular Aura. I noticed that regular FA is horribly inefficient when it comes to force, you will get drained in no time. Improved FA doesn't seem to have that problem, it's way more force effiecient.

I put together a bit of a post concerning these issues. It's got real numbers as well as what stacks and what applies first. Check it out.

Kd, Stasis and drain can help that. There's alost alot of factors that come into play.

I have both and I really enjoy the combo. I use aura when grinding to keep the force bar healthy and only turn on FA when dueling, pvpor fighting off bh's.
