I copied this from PammyDX's post and feel like it is a key note for me.
See, the big picture is, if we all live healthy lives (physically, mentally), then we will all likely maintain accounts. If the game lends itself to addiction (ie doing something that adversely affects one's life), then a player is much more likely to cancel their account due to their life falling apart (ie RL relationships, physical fitness, etc). So i hope this game is designed to where one can be uber w/out having to powergame...
See, this game is awesome and fun. But you shouldn't have to give up the more important things in life to enjoy it. How many of you have gone without sleep to finish a template. How many of you have lost girlfriends, jobs, friends, etc. all in the name of SWG. We all have sacrificed much to be Jedi.
So to all those people who think, Respec's are for wussy's or that we should all just go grind a new template, that of course will turn into a new grind because this game never keeps its promises. I say...You go grind....Go grind a Life...Go get some exercise, a girlfriend, see a movie, hug your kids, or show someone that you are more than just a statistic on a game.
See for most of us, SWG is a part of life, not our only life. We don't have the time for constant nerfs and changes forcing us to spend multiple extra hours at the keyboard. I saw someone say "SWG doesn't care how much time in a month you are at the keyboard, as long as they get your money"...then why do they insist on keeping me there.
For most of you, you are to young to understand. SWG is entertainment....and it should be treated as so. And casual gamers deserve the same treatment as powergamers.
General Patton once said "I never like to fight for the same real estate twice"....well, I have grind my Jedi...stop nerfing me and allow me to enjoy my Jedi...as well as all the other more important facets of my life. Peace Out...Vick Loco

hehe,,,thanks for the few who seem to understand...I just hope that one day we all get what we are hoping for:
A template we can get comfortable with, without fear of nerf.

SWG is like paying $180for cable television during 12 months just to watch your favorite show, just to find out that they refuse to send the final episode.
This game have more similarities with that Cable Television service, than it have to do with traditional games.
Imagine what would happen if a television channel with "exclusive rights" refused to play the finals in a popular sport, like baseball, soccer or football. Would people care if it was just a game? People would tear down the channel's headquarters and half of the city, that is what they do.
Well, at least that's what the british do.
SWG is more of a "real-life investment" than a simple game. A Jedi is a long-term job for entertainment. A bit like fixing up your garden just to have a nice garden. Or spending alot ofhard earned money on a beautiful car. Or a painting. It's also just for "entertainment".
Do not underestimate the importance of "Entertainment" in life. Entertainment is what makes Real-Life worth working for. Without anything but a simple job, you are just dead.
