I was going to respond to a post about MCM / BH but I got rather long winded and perhaps off topic so I started a new thread.

Ah we have inevitably split our profession again. Instead of Pre-Cu vs. Post CU Jedi, we have now divided into those templates that can beat aMCM/BH and those that can't. Personally, I think there are templates that have a very small chance, if one at all, to beat these type of BH. And non-MLS / M.Defenders generally fall in that category. You won't hear me say this template is weak because its not. You will hear me say that MCM/BH provide a much larger challenge which approaches implausible to win.

In general, I wouldn't have such a problem with this BH template if it wasn't for the fact that every BH that comes for me is this template. The battle does take forever, and in general its not the force bar that limits me, its the mind bar. Usually goes something like this:

BH makes first strike, usually at a distance. I activate aura, force speed, and infusion if not already going. I have to come within 5m to do my saber attacks, so I FR to meet him/her. I get paralyzed, stated, and debuffed. Now I have a fire and/or a poison ticking for 2-300. No biggie, infusion takes care of that. I move to re-engage the BH who is now running away from me generally spamming adv critical shot in combo with leg shot or another higher damage attack. Now my combat speed is -15% even with forcespeed on, and I am moving just faster than a walk even with FR rolling. So now I have 2 options in my opinion. I can run away and try to escape or I can saber throw and keep closing the distance, using force with no real return in damage.

I have tried and failed in both situations. Fighting usually lasts until my mind bar runs out. I do good damage, but the CM can heal it off in a couple seconds and their mind bar never moves. Again I have to stay within a few meters to do my biggest damage which only leads to them re-applying paralyze-debuffs every few minutes. In the end, whether using stims or force heal, I run out of mind and end up losing.

As for simply running. Now that vehicles can be restored in the middle of nowhere, the chase just goes on forever. To my knowledge you cannot shuttle or enter space if you are engaged in combat. So even if I take them for a ride, stop destory their bike, commence to riding again; they just repair or pull another bike and are never outside about 2-300m from me which is enough time for them to get within range and re-engage me before I can shuttle.

I want to make it perfectly clear... I AM NOT ASKING FOR NERFS TO ANY PROFESSION. I am asking for help from fellow Jedi. I don't want an all powerful profession. I just want to be able to survive. Dying once in a while doesn't bother me. Knowing I have little to no chance because almost the entire BH population has this MCM template frustrates me.

So what am I left with? Changing my template. That sucks. I cant enjoy PvE and the little content there is in this game because I have to now accomodate the BH. I never really wanted to be anything but a M. Defender. To wade into a crowd of critters or npc's and stand a good chance in order to help protect those in my group. I love standing toe to toe with the toughest content this game has.

To those that will ask, I am 223 pts into Jedi. Just 3 skill points to full template. My template is 4404 saber, 4000 healer, 2002 enh, M. Def which I think leaves me enough for improved force speed if I counted correctly. My saber is a 695 max damagewith the Sunrider's Destiny and a force cost of 10-11 I think. I do use mind enhancing foods, and I do use spice. I am one of those few orphan Jedi that is half pre-cu and half post cu. I have PvP'd and have usually done as good as can be expected of me. Oh and I completed the quest for that d@mned mind crystal but its borked and I never received it even after multiple tickets.

In the end, I really don't undertand why these debuffs don't count as states and/or aren't somewhat protected against with my defender skills. Maybe I can hope they will be soon.
