I'd like some vet's opinions on the need for healing in a Jedi temp. I know most peeps have healing of some level, PvE and RP is more my concearn but I'd like to know if having no heal will make PvE so much more difficult and will it make PvP impossible?
Any advice is appreciated.

I asked this quest awhile ago when I wanted to drop healing. I went from 4000 healer to Novice Healer. PvE was no problem because there is almost always a healer in the group, but PvP was hard to keep up with. I went back to healer 4000 after a loosing period.

Healing is a necessity. Without you will die rather quickly whan fighting highend mobs or in PvP. Stims is a fine addition to healing skills, but you won't stay alive for long only having stims.

Yup, you can save mind and force using the D stimps but I can't immage to stay without the 1500 healing we have.

Thanks for the replies!
I was thinking of Mls/Mdef/Powers4xx4 more of an RP thing as it's quite close to what a guardian would be. I think I'll have to drop the powers for healing though. I just don't want to be totally left behind in combat.

I highly recommend at least 3xxx healer. Infusion is very useful and the 1k heals definitely come in handy. If you have the skill points though, go for the 4th tier.

In my opinion healing and channel force is a must.

I'm MDef/MLS 2000enhancer 3000 healer. I have no problem without Channel. (but I have a 13 FC saber)
As for healing? If you have a group you don't neeed healing. But you will never be able to solo anything in CU without healing, as a melee prof.

i found that for pve healing isnt really essential, however a form a healing is always needed ie. stims and ruby bliel. or if your in groups of people that have healing and dont mind keeping you alive. before necrosis was uber, i killed him with just having tkm mswords 0440pike master brawler however there were 2 others with me that just kept me healed while i killed him and his goons one at time, but when your spamming head hit for 1k a pop on his robot a$$ it goes fast, and he never hit me for more then 800 damage so with the two healers there to keep me healed and the ocasional stim to take off some stress it wasnt so hard. good thing they had bacta toss or things would have been bad, but as for anything stronger then the gorax if you plan on soloing you could use at minimum xx3x medic and +25 healing eff clothes for 800+healing. and its not too much skill points there to ensure you live vs most things soloable.

I have to agree on the Necrosis thing, i killed him 3 times pre-pub24 and once post. We only had 1 healer and he had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the damage we were taking post pub24. As you can see in my sig I like to build very specialised temps, I'm not really into hybrid temps. However in this case it looks as though taking healing is unavoidable.Stim cooldowns are just too long to rely on

yeah....you may get some heals from your group in PvE but in PvP I NEVER get an outside heal so I gotta do it all myself!
