Im mls mp, i need SOME defence, should i get xx4x defender or x4xx enhancer for the FA?

IMO, defender is better. I was mp with force armor and my force was sucked down fairly quickly becuase powers do take quite a bit of force to use.

Defender is definetely better with Powers.
However, I'm Master Enhancer, without any defender, and I love it.
Not uber, but various skills and fun. And I bow to you for choosing Powers - I didn't have the balls.

im master powers and Im really good with it I have taken down master defenders 1 0n 1
i dont have any defender, I really dont see force armor helping me much I wish i still had aura.....cause it makes u harder to hit......plus im on 0404 in ls

I had just Force Aura as defence and died an an awful lot. With 0040 Def you can still be hit 1400+ damage every 2 seconds.
I grinded to 4404 Enhancer and it is much better.

It's good, if you can compensate for the increased drain on your Force bar as the armor uses Force to mitigate incoming damage. I had purely FA for quite awhile and it worked fine if you're careful. Much better stacked with Defender xx4x, but needless to say, you don't have enough SP for both.

Force armor 2 provides the same innate armor as tkm I think. So if you master tkm and test you will have a good idea on theinnate armorside. But it does cost a fair amount of force. This decent amount of armor is found in 0400 enhancer for relatively few skill points is the main bonus with force armor2. Per skill point no proffession can match this amount of defense, jedi or none jedi I think.

force armor 2, along with novice defender, (say if your getting aura as well) gives you the same innate armor as a master defender.. To the guy further above that said he didn't notice it helping, he didn't pay attention.. With FA2, aura, melee def foods, you can even have better overall defense than a MDEF. As said though, you have to watch your force, it's about %8 fc on what you take in (100 dam costs 8 force)
Channel is a must, especially if you combine it with powers.. Although I've never approved of powers and FA due to the intense force drain you will put on yourself with it
