Actually Aura, since the CU has provided damage reduction of sorts. I have the "guardian" template with Aura off a CL82 picket would hit for about 200pts of damamge with aura on its a little over 100. A CL81 Corsec form the Vette w no Aura would hit between 250-300 damamge with it on, again about half of that. This either do to the ACC vs Def thing that makes attacks land in the min range or it it has some built in mitigation, My guess is the ACC vs Def. I havent "tested" against pickets but I have just been on the Vette and I noticed I was taking on more damamge than usual.There was no change in the damamge per hit like usual. So they either jacked up the accuracy of the MOBS when they improved the AI or Aura isnt working.

I'd love to see some hard numbers.
All of my "testing"...which occurs in the field in PvE and PvP shows me that Aura is working just fine. When it's up...I notice an incredible difference in the movement of my health bar.
And to further clarify...as best as I understand it, Aura simply decreases your chances of being hit. It is a static defense modifier, just like "Melee Defense". It is NOT Innate Armor and as such should not provide damage mitigation. If there is any actual mitigation it SHOULD be miniscule.
Despite how broken Jedi is, everything I have seen shows that Aura is in fact working as intended.

Accuracy Vs. Defense probably figures into the equation in terms of the mitigation, however, Aura was not supposed to function like Force or Innate Armor. Now that's not to say that some mitigation does not exist, but as I said, that's likely involved in accuracy vs. defense.
Since Pub 24, all mobs/NPCs are capable of using Special attacks just like we do. I noticed myself getting hit a bit harder too, but I was getting hit much harder with Aura off than when I had it on.
I still stand firm in my belief that Aura was never supposed to provide mitigation though, so if it ever did...then SOE must have "fixed" it so that it is now..working as intended.

hell yes it did... lok mission terminals only shwoing ONE delivery mission.. .that takes HIGH priority over our speciels and our speed
