It depends on how you plan to do damage. If you are hold a melee weapon (ie ls) then go 4/0/4/0, if you are using powers for your damage then go 0/4/4/0. From what I understand right now, ranged defense works only if you are holding a ranged weapon and melee defense works only if you are holding a melee weapon.
Please correct me if I am wrong here, but the chefs did some experimenting with foods and dicovered the above to be true.
Thanks
I think that was refering to when you eat buffs it doesn't count or some crap, lol.
I dunno.....
I'm not to sure if that is entirely correct... If your holding a saber you want melee defense. If you not holding anything, I think it's still considered melee (unarmed) and your choice would still be melee defense. The only time the range defense branch in defender will benefit you is if you are holding a ranged weapon. Why they would add a branch that does not apply to Jedi? I think because it is a simple coding error and will eventually (key word "eventually") get fixed.
So how handy is the forcearmor in ehancer then? Is is worth picking up over MLS and just getting some lines in saber? I have master def and don't want to give that up (probably cause it takes forever to get master anything and the 500 fp are nice).![]()
i was interested more in the +12 innate armor it provides...
template is fotm
def 4040 mld 3402 enh 4000 heal

Ranged def = defense against ranged attacks. Melee def = defense against melee attacks. Check the skill sheet, the descriptions explain it well. It was a bug, but it was fixed with pub24. melee def works while holding a ranged weapon and taking attacks from melee, and vice versa.
