Okay here we go, I have currently +25 in 2handed saber speed and it gives exactly +0.05 speed.
From 1.39 unmodded to 1.34 with tapes. (Master Saber good perls)
Now I know there are diminishing returns once you near the cap and I can live with that. BUT will it help if I craft a saber not 8eff/4speed but 8eff/4dam?
I won't be as near on the cap then. So would my tapes be more effective then? (Would test on my own but I can't right now.)

Jedi speed tapes are currently broken.. not working.. I hope you didnt pay too much for them =P Sure look good I geuss lol Maybe if we keep up the presure on the devs they will eventually make them work. Sorry to break the news to ya

Heh no worry I know they are borken. It's just an issue of getting the best stuff avaiable.
No matter if they work or not the values when you /examine your saber are still correct. So my question stands. (For like when they fix tapes in 20 months or so)

I think that is about right....diminishing returns in action.

it is your speed that deturn the speed reduction so if you get -0,5 speed for yuor +25 speed tape then you will get the same with a new saber

Im with you lol I have the speed tapes as well. I hope in time they will be activated =) As far as your question with diminishing returns it would make the tapes work more and use less of the base saber speed. But in the end I think it will be a wash as the cool down and warm up for the power attack will always remain to a base speed of I believe it was 1.40 or 1.30 or very close to those numbers there was a thread a couple days ago about what seems to be the cap. I tried to find it maybe some one knows the exact number.I have a mod speed of 1.13 and I have tested it a few times and I am not hitting basically every second more like a second and a half maybe a tiny bit less but its really negligible. Good luck and lets get those tapes up!!
